ATTENTION: We are a food truck located behind Mort Subite Belgian Bar. While our food truck, Austhentico, operates independently, Mort Subite has kindly allowed us to serve our menu at their tables, offering you a one-of-a-kind European dining experience.
We are a small, locally owned family business with a strong commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
Founded in 2019 by Chef Luis from Barcelona and Chef Sarai from Mexico City, our journey began as a catering service and evolved into a food truck in 2023.

We love Austhentico! Food and service are great and chef Luis always goes out of his way to make sure everything’s just right. We particularly love the paella and patatas bravas. Combine that with a good Belgian beer and you’re set. Go here if you want a taste of Europe (or if you are a bit homesick like me).

Hidden gem! Luis makes such amazing Spanish food and his joy makes you want feel appreciated. We’ve been to Spain many times and his food is as good as we get at some places there. We always love the croquetas de jamón y patatas bravas, but you won’t go wrong with anything.

Randomly found this spot when I used the parking next door. Saw the flag and ran towards the food truck. To my surprise they had an amazing menu offering lots of authentic food. Chef Luis greeted me in a very friendly and welcoming manner.
I ordered the paella and the chorizo sandwhich and OMG! Taste was amazing and texture of the seafood cooked to perfection was very impressive. I’m so happy to have found this spot. Deff will visit every time I’m in Austin 🙂

If you love Spanish food and are missing the food you tried in Spain, this is your spot. We got the jamon Serrano and cheese croquetas and they were FIRE. Also the paella de marisco was so goood and don’t forget to order a jamon iberico sandwich too.
They were so friendly and gave us some great recos when deciding what to eat. We’ll for sure be back!

Highly highly recommend stopping in to have a meal at Austhentico! Hard to believe you can get this high quality of a meal in such a casual atmosphere. As someone who LOVES Spanish food but is usually disappointed by stateside options- I can say this is the most authentic food you can get. The owners here brought Spain to Austin- literally. We ordered the seafood paella and I’m literally scraping the pan as I type lol It reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking (but ahem, way better!). Also had the croquettes which were recommended and soo good. They literally melt in your mouth. Enjoy if you’re able to make it by, if I lived in Austin this would be a regular stop!

This is a gem of a place. Didn’t release it was a food truck that makes for the bar. Louis is amazing in everything. I can only imagine what he could do if he had a full kitchen. He make amazing Spanish food with heart, flavor and his personality. The bar has great European beer and wine to match, and the staff are well versed in what they serving. So glad we tried here. A must try for good atmosphere, food, wine and beer.
I will recommend to everyone every coming to Austin. Must check.

This is like going to Spain without needing to use your passport.
Luis, the owner introduced himself and made us feel like we were back home in Spain.
They have the best croquetas I’ve had in the US and the fact that you can eat outside and enjoy a nice evening there is just amazing.
We will be back as soon as we can!
Mil gracias por hacernos sentir como en casa, Luis!

Really incredible food for not too expensive we had the chicken paella which says serves 2 but could serve 3 too, then also a tortilla (Spanish egg) which I don’t usually like but this was fine. It came with little slices of bread with tomato on them which were amazing. We ordered online and ate it when we got to the bar which was a gorgeous space though I can’t really leave a review for it cuz I don’t drink beer. But the food was in general convenient, fairly cheap for the area, cozy and extremely well executed.

Salad was outstanding. Paella was disappointing. While the seafood was cooked perfectly, the rice was mushy and didn’t look like arborio rice; there was no chew or texture to it. There wasn’t any trace of saffron, or paprika, nor a side of aioli. It didn’t taste bad, but it was more like what they served in my jr high cafeteria and called it Spanish rice.
