Well after waiting a year to eat here after living in Europe last year and what a great big disappointment walked in to no hello, staff was on their phones (8 am prime time ) and didn’t notice despite close quarters. They have the French rudeness down and the experience diminished from there with the young staff catching an attitude cause I mentioned I could wait to order until she finished online can’t make this stuff up. Food was ok but bakery’s in Bozeman shouldn’t fear for too much competition as long as the entitled continue to work here. 1 and done move on folks nothing to see here unless you don’t know any better

Aurore French Bakery is truly a standout gem in Bozeman. From start to finish, the team is incredibly hardworking, attentive, and genuinely beyond accommodating. Their care, precision, and passion are evident in every interaction and every detail of their work.

The Victorian Lambeth cake is an unforgettable experience—elegant, beautifully crafted, and absolutely decadent. The intricate piping is stunning, the texture is perfectly balanced, and the flavor is rich without being overwhelming. It’s not just a cake; it’s a work of art that tastes as extraordinary as it looks.

Beyond specialty orders, everything available daily in the bakery is equally exquisite. Each pastry, bread, and dessert reflects exceptional technique, high-quality ingredients, and a true dedication to French baking. You can tell that nothing is rushed and nothing is done halfway.

Aurore French Bakery consistently delivers excellence, warmth, and artistry. Highly recommended for both special occasions and everyday indulgence.

There is a following for a reason- this is definitely the best bakery in Montana. People all over the west know about it! My family comes every time they are in town from out of state and people talk about it where they live too
Personal faves: croinamin, fougasse, croissants, royal cake, and of course the baguette! She also made a delicious gender reveal cake for us too, which was such a fun treat!

I love Aurore French Bakery! Eating anything that comes out of this bakery is like getting a hug from your Grandma.

I’m not over exaggerating either, this bakery is one of my favorite places in Bozeman. There is nothing we have ever tried here that we did not like. My personal favorites include any flaky pastry like the butter croissant, Pain au Chocolat (cholate croissant), Pain au Chocolat aux Amandes (chocolate and almond croissant)…yum! I can only describe it as biting into golden, flaky shell with a soft, buttery interior.

Don’t get me started on the delicious French Butter! Aurore does an amazing job sourcing high quality ingredients you can taste.

It makes me so sad that we moved. Yet, so excited to have something to look forward to when we’re back in town. We discovered Aurore French Bakery before most people knew how delicious it was. Now, there’s almost always a line out the door no matter the time of day—and they deserve it.

If you want to experience one of the most perfect bites in Bozeman, show up early!

We visited again after coming last year, and it’s clear they’ve grown a lot in popularity. We still love the food, though not everything was available like on our previous visit. The seating felt very crowded, especially in the winter. Even arriving right when they opened, it filled up quickly and became a bit uncomfortable.

I love Aurore bakery, & it pains me to write this. But Ive been rather disappointed with the chocolate croissants lately. I used to think the price point was fair because you’d be getting a really good chocolate croissant with quality ingredients. But corners have been cut somewhere along the line & it’s unfortunately starting to show. The size of them now fit in my palm, where they used to look like the pic I have posted alongside it that they have advertised; More airy & more surface area/dough. I don’t know if bakers are not being trained directly through Aurore anymore but they’re just not the same chocolate croissants I remember that you could tell were beautiful, plump & delicious. At some point it’s going to be hard to justify the price point, because it’s definitely starting to which I am sad about .

I love this place, I bring all my family and friends here when they come to visit. It’s right up there with wild crumb. I always get the coffee eclairs, and the chocolate almond croissants. Their Nutella vanilla brioche bombs are to die for. If you have time definitely try aurore!

Randomly dropped in for coffee and was more than pleasantly surprised at their amazing assortment of pastries. I had a raspberry cream cheese croissant and it’s one of the best pastries I’ve ever had. My cappuccino was great, as well. Will be back!

Oh my goodness. What a treat. As a pregnant mom to a toddler, I took myself out for a solo date to the bakery. Got a warm croissant right out of the oven and a decaf cappuccino. I thought I was going to order to go but instead stayed to enjoy the freshly baked pastry and hot coffee. I’m in heaven and will be back many, many times!

This place is top notch. The buttery, sweet smell when you walk in the door, the array of pastries, my god. It’s amazing. I had never had a “petit dejuner” pastry before (egg and cheese and some kind of tasty sauce). I could eat one of those every day! Really nice folks behind the counter, too. What a treat to have something like this in Montana!
