Put this on your radar!

The atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Our server was welcoming, friendly, and attentive.

They had a very nice wine selection, we went with the Barolo for our visit, it was lovely.

The wife and I both ordered pizzas, they were delicious!

This is a spot we will continue to seek out when we are in town

Atmosphere was nice. Noise level was low, but there was hardly anyone there bc we were so late. Average prices. The pastas were delicious. The papardelle con fungi was too al dente and too salty, but still very tasty. The carbonara was creamy and delicious

Oh my! Outstanding service, excellent food! Had the rigatoni special, was spot on! Their tiramisu was absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Service was excellent especially considering we were a large party of 30 people. I asked others about the food and most enjoyed their meal but common feedback was good taste but luke warm or even room temperature food. Could be a symptom of trying to queue up plates to all go together for a large party. The walls echo sound and we generated a lot of noise. I feel sorry for other customers. We all enjoyed our party and the wait staff that ok very good care of us.

During one of our weekend drives to Novato, we wanted to try a new place to eat and decided on Aurora, which seemed like a good nearby option. As we made our way there, I began to doubt whether I had the correct address, as the area we were passing through appeared to be a business district with most of the offices closed and up for rent. I couldn’t believe there would be a restaurant open for business there! However, I was mistaken. When we turned onto Commercial Blvd, I saw cars parked in front of the restaurant. They even had their own parking lot, so we parked there and walked inside.

Once inside, we were immediately greeted by the hostess, a pleasant young lady with a big smile. We asked to be seated outside so our little furry companion could join us. When we were seated, someone brought our puppy a bowl of water and handed us the menus.

We started with a caprese salad, which I accompanied with a glass of Pinot Grigio. The salad was fresh and delicious, and the olive oil was fantastic! For our main dishes, I ordered Linguine alla Pescatora, and my companion had Fettuccine alla Carbonara. Both dishes were exquisite.

While we enjoyed our meal and the ambiance, the hostess and the rest of the staff checked on us regularly to ensure everything was satisfactory.

After we finished our meal, the crew surprised my companion with a rendition of “Happy Birthday” and presented a Tiramisu with a candle on it. We had a wonderful time, appreciating the surroundings, enjoying delicious food, and experiencing the crew’s excellent hospitality.

We’re just stopped by to order take out for the first time. We were meet at the door by Inmer who even though the restaurant wasn’t open yet invited us in to look at the menu. We ordered the Penne Al Salmone, Linguine Salmone and Caesar salad. Inmer even gave me a glass of his favorite red wine while I was waiting for the order. The food was great! We’ll be back with friends.

We were staying in town and found this hole in the wall italian cuisine. The staff were very professional and down to earth at the same time. Our waiter recommended the lamb chops medium rare, and they were definitely worth it! I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly, very moist in a delicious wine and tomato sauce. Veggies were fresh and the bread they served was soft. Only criticism would be to warm the bread before serving. We will definitely be coming back in the future to try out more items on the menu!

Review update for 2020:
Things are constantly changing with dining regulations, and Aurora has adapted very well. Business has been much slower though. There are a handful of tables outdoors under a tent covering, which will be closed for at least a month due to restrictions. Take out orders are packaged mostly in paper boxes. We miss the dining experience with great customer service, but quality of food is still up to their usual standards so we still order pick up for special occasions. Tip: call I’m the order instead of ordering online to avoid the extra service charge.

Pros: fast takeout, tasty food, adapts to covid restrictions well, friendly service
Cons: box is flimsy for items with lots of liquid (we transferred the risotto right after getting home); hot food condensates so texture isn’t great for some crispy items even if the taste is great

Great for a Valentine’s date! Soup of the day was lobster, which went well with the sourdough bread. (Tip: you can request bread warmed in the oven for a crispier crust.) The seafood linguine had so much seafood. In trying to pick up pasta, I kept on grabbing squid or salmon. The salmon was impressively well-done but not overcooked. Chicken prosciutto mozzarella was also cooked very well.
Looking forward to coming back on another special occasion!

First rime here. My friend got them prawns and risotto special which rocked and I got the pizza….meh…

I usually don’t order pizza when I go to an Italian restaurant but for women reason I did this time. Should’ve gone with the special.

While the bruschetta and Cesar salad were good as was my friends prawns and risotto the pizza I got was just plain not good. No way to sugar coat it.

Great late afternoon lunch at this spot. Really great selection of Italian first and second courses. Beautiful appetizers and incredible pasta. I had an amazing ravioli with spinach and ricotta and a super tasty red sauce. Bread served with the waters. Really nice waiters and a really nice vibe in this place.
They have wines and beers though I wasn’t in the mood for that today and a full selection of coke products. Took my youngest and they made him a great plain cheese pizza, kid style. Will be back the next time I am up. Worth a visit.
