Aurora Landing is the restaurant inside Kenlake Resort. Breakfast at the restaurant is included in stay. The breakfast is very similar to a homemade meal but my husband said it perfectly, “you can consider that an average meal, or the best hotel breakfast you’ve ever had.” It’s made to order and far better than a holiday inn breakfast. We also chose to dine in at their restaurant in the evening. My husband got the hot ham and cheese and I got the Philly cheese steak, and we also tried the fried mushrooms and pickles. Everything came out quick and hot, and it was all very delicious for the price, if a little greasy. I wouldn’t expect gourmet but it’s good and easy on the pocketbook! Everything was kept super clean, the waiters were attentive, and the view is nice. They also have high chairs for children.

They have a limited menu for breakfast but the food was good and cooked to order. The only negative about our visit was that we had to flag down a waitress for coffee refills. It wasn’t a big deal and we will come back.

Bizarre experience
Literally three options given for breakfast then was told they were out of pancakes.
Staff seemed like they were intense and wanting to rush through process.
You’re not allowed to choose how your eggs are cooked. They decide for you.
Cook was Amazing. Food was good.
When i paid the server looked me right in the eye and told me she didn’t have change to give me and kept my change
Okay the change shortage…really??
Bizarre
No matter how short staffed a restaurant is, rudeness is not beneficial to anyone involved.
Go back to a menu and stop using the pandemic as an excuse to cut corners.
Lake Barkley is close and their staff is Amazing
Go there instead

My wife and I decided to sample the food here after a day spent at the Homeplace. Honestly, we weren’t expecting more than edible food at tolerable prices. Turns out we set our sights far too low.
We both ordered the 6 oz. rib-eye, Pittsburgh style and couldn’t have been more delighted. They were fantastic, as were the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly.
My wife is a restaurant manager, and for the first time ever she asked that a separate gratuity be brought straight to the chef.
Aurora Landing Restaurant isn’t just OK food with a view. This is destination dining. Great people, terrific food and a fabulous view.

Just a heads up, so as to not be confused like we were. This restaurant is located inside the lodge/hotel. It is open to the public. We dined in for breakfast. It was good food, and the service was friendly as well.

Service was almost nonexistent. Food in big portions but very bland. Not worth going to.

The food was bland and the service is horrible. Was in there for almost an hour and was checked on once. Didn’t have any napkins or silverware and had to ask for menus.

This is where the breakfast chow is served and is on the bottom floor inside hotel. And surprisingly good.
