Here for Valentine’s Day. Matthew took wonderful care of us. Service was impeccable. We got the branzino and lobster risotto – both delicious and well presented. The tiramisu was amazing!

One star. Overall, a very disappointing experience at Aurora Italiana. The chicken paillard was dry, and the arugula salad was drenched in olive oil to the point that the arugula wilted. The seafood pasta did not taste fresh, which is a major issue for an Italian restaurant. The braised beef was overly salty and difficult to enjoy. To make matters worse, we were seated right by the door, and cold air constantly came in, making the meal uncomfortable. Between the food quality and the seating, this was a poor experience and not one we would return for.

The place was really nice inside, the atmosphere and interior were great. Service was great; everyone was friendly and helped us pick what to order. The food came out pretty fast, which was nice.
We got the Caesar salad (really good), the burrata, an NY strip steak, a pasta, and the smashed potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and well-made, I’d say about an 8/10 overall for the food. Our server was checking in on us to make sure we’re good and the bathrooms were super clean.
Would recommend.

Aurora Italiana is one of my favorite restaurants in Michigan and I never went there to celebrate anything special; however, yesterday was my birthday and my boyfriend booked us a table there and asked for a birthday cake surprise and upon arrival the hostess acknowledged that and wished me a happy birthday but they failed to offer me the happy birthday cake which when l knew about it, l really got mad and sad because that was the main purpose of us going there yesterday!

Our entrees were flavorless snd bland. The potatoes were dry and the broccoli lacked seasoning. Overall the food wasn’t worth the price. There was supposed to be a strolling band but that never happened. Our server, bartenders, were very nice and accommodating. However the manger spoke to everyone at the bar except my party. He skipped us twice. The restaurant left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I just want to start by saying that the ambience is an absolute dream. You can really tell that they put so much effort into all of the decor- I immediately felt like I was stepping into Amalfi. I really enjoyed the colorful accents from the plates to the lemon trees, along with the modern flair.
Our server was attentive, but I did feel that we missed a couple marks for a fine dining restaurant. While serving our bottle of wine, she broke the cork and did not offer to get a new bottle. Also, we had a reservation at 7 and did not receive our entrées until 9. We did have the calamari appetizer and bread, both being delicious, but I felt that we weren’t compensated for having to wait so long for dinner. The chicken Parmesan and filet were very good. I asked for my filet to be medium rare and I it was closer to medium, but it was tender. I felt that for a place like this, they should have asked me to cut into it when serving. We shared the pasta carbone which was definitely spicy as advertised, but good. I love that they make the pasta in house and I’d want to try a different pasta dish next time. The tiramisu and chocolate cake were rich and delicious. Overall, for the 45 minute drive to get here, the ambience is the biggest highlight. The food was good- I would not say it’s my favorite for Italian food specifically and for the price point the service should have been a little more authentic for the upscale atmosphere.

This was our first time here. It was a Monday night, so it wasn’t too crowded. They tried to set us by the door, after we had made reservation for a 35th wedding anniversary. We finally got moved to a better location in front of the fireplace. Service was good.They recommended some of their homemade pasta, which was outstanding. We both chose the bolognese, which did not disappoint. We enjoyed the evening and had a great time.

I wanted to treat myself after a long day of work and was craving Italian. So I looked up good Italian restaurants near the area, saw this place drove to it and just walked in. And WOW… what an amazing service! For a one person walk in, I was seated right away. My server was Kayla W and she did a fantastic job at recommending certain foods, I wasn’t sure what I specifically wanted and simply explained that I wanted something a bit spicy and a tomato base alongside some appetizers. She recommended me the Arancini Primavera as the appetizer, Caesar salad with breaded chicken, and a small Pasta Carbone(I also ordered a Strawberry Nojito Mocktail 10/10 refresher). Let me tell you she hit every single craving I was looking for! She truly elevated the experience at the restaurant for me and made sure to check in that everything was good! All in all, from the lady that greeted me at the front and seated me, to being served and assisted by Kayla W, to the atmosphere of the restaurant, it was a FANTASTIC dining experience. Worth every dollar I spent. Thank you so much for a great experience! Definitely adding this place to my list of go-to restaurants, I do recommend getting reservations if your party is 2+ since that seemed to be the case for other parties, but if you’re a one person walk-in, you should be fine. Thank you again for such an amazing dining experience!
