In wine country you’re spoiled for choice, but it’s the warmth (and competence) of the kitchen team and staff that really sets Auro apart. From being greeted with bubbles and bites from Miguel, to warm and hospitable service from Cindy to the incredible food the whole staff produced…we were blown away.
Excited to see them get more stars but stay true to their good vibes and authenticity!!
I highly recommend and would always come back.
We would like to sincerely thank you for an unforgettable evening at Auro Napa Valley on Thursday, September 25. From the warm welcome to the very end, everything was absolutely perfect.
We were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful evening on the terrace — the weather, the ambiance, and the relaxed atmosphere made for a truly special experience. Your staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel welcome right away.
A special thank you for the care and preparation regarding my wife’s gluten intolerance. The kitchen team handled it flawlessly, which speaks volumes about the quality and thoughtfulness behind your culinary approach.
Having previously celebrated New Year’s Eve 2021 at Luce, we were already familiar with the outstanding cuisine of Chef Rogelio Garcia and didn’t want to miss the chance to visit him again at Auro. Although Chef Garcia was not present that evening, his team delivered an excellent performance and upheld his high standards with great skill.
The tasting menu overall was outstanding — a perfect balance of creativity, flavor, and presentation. The gluten-free bread was truly the icing on the cake — absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. We were even given the recipe and a piece to take home, which made us very happy.
We also loved being invited to visit the kitchen — such a warm, professional, and genuine gesture. It perfectly reflected the spirit of hospitality that defines your restaurant.
Thank you again for a wonderful evening filled with amazing food, heartfelt service, and a memorable atmosphere. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely plan another visit!
With kind regards,
Linda & Martin
Beyond the food, every detail was perfection, and I don’t use that word lightly. After checking in I was ushered to a greeting space and presented with a glass of sparkling wine and a delicious palate cleansing bite. Once at my table I was able to take in the thoughtfulness that has gone into every detail of this restaurant. It is beautiful and high end yet cozy, with lighting that perfectly illuminates each dish. Speaking of dishes, each one was presented in dinnerware that elevated the presentation and overall experience, and the steak knives are etched with “Auro”, such a great touch. Pacing of the meal was perfect, I never felt rushed, had the right amount of time between courses to let food settle, but never waited too long for anything. I also loved the exposed kitchen. I was mesmerized by watching the well-oiled machine during my meal.
Last but definitely not least – service! The staff a chef hires is a reflection on the character of the chef. Every individual I encountered at Auro was warm, kind, knowledgeable and professional. My primary server Bri was a delight, and my primary sommelier Derek (sp?) was a joy to talk with about the wine (and I learned he came from Ever in Chicago where I dined just about a month ago!) Every diner was given a tour of the kitchen and Chef Garcia was kind enough to sign my copy of his cookbook. I should note that as a person who travels solo a fair amount, I’ve had experiences where I wasn’t given the same level of service or made to feel like an inconvenience. My experience at Auro was the opposite of that. I felt well attended to and was not made to feel out of place at all.
Impeccable experience start to finish and I see more Michelin stars in Auro’s future. Thank you chef and team!
