An old school pizza joint. It’s probably been there since the 50s or 60s. Food was decent, service was stellar! I really like that they put the pizza on a grill rack so it doesn’t get soggy.

I’m really sad to give this review, because Aurelios has been a family favorite for decades.
This was our first visit to this location and unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience.
My daughter booked the party from out of state so unfortunately it was booked site unseen.
She booked the party room for 29 people for my grandson’s wedding rehearsal dinner.
First and foremost, the pizza was excellent as always and our waitress truly did their best to accommodate BUT…
This establishment was severely understaffed. We had one waitress for 29 people and it might have taken 30 min for everyone to have gotten their first drink order in, and any refills there after took a lot of time. Not to mention the only food brought out quite late it seemed. It was the salad and garlic bread and rolls for beef sandwiches in that came out first. So the rolls were cold before the meat came out.
Finally the pasta and roast beef arrived it was cold, but everyone was so hungry and had waited so long, my daughter didnt want to do anything about it, but it did taste good. the pizza was perfect!
.
The party room was musty smelling and the high chairs were dirty as well as the floor. especially the step area. One of the food set up areas was loaded with boxes and ‘stuff’ and stacked chairs so it looked like we were hosting a party in someone’s storage room in that area.
The seating was one very large L shaped seating area along with 3 other tables that seated 2, 4 and 4. The L shape was a bench seating area and the other 3 tables were so cramped, so it was very awkward and uncomfortable! So very cramped for about 15 people to get in and out of their seats to dish up their plates, so my two daughters started serving everyone. It was quite a bad experience to say the least.
This location should not be offering this ‘party room’ as an option especially for a group of this size with one waitress. Very disappointing.
Now to our waitress’ credit she really tried so hard, she was also waiting on the regular restaurant patrons at this time. She accommodated the best she could. It was definitely not her fault.
My son in law tried to get the manager to help but he said there’s nothing he could do, they were understaffed.

I’m from Homewood, so I know Aurelio’s. This is a decent enough restaurant, but I can’t get past the men’s room. Putting a urinal 8 inches from the sink is weird. Putting a full mirror in front of the urinal is weirder. Looking at yourself from an angle you’ve never seen yourself while doing that is super weird. Then the guy washing his hands right next to you looks in the mirror and sees all your Italian sausage hanging out. I’m not a fan of this. At least I’m a deep dish fiesta and not small thin crust. Could be worse.

First time eating here. Calm environment and I think the manager Jeff? Took the time to explain the menu. It was a little hard to read the print. Gave suggestions, food was great. I got a spinach and mushrooms calzone ?

Ordered pizza at 5:25. Was told it would be ready in 30-35. Arrived at 6:05, gave my name & was told it would be a couple minutes. 10 minutes later asked again & was told the same thing. 6:30 now & was told quote ‘we don’t know when your pizza will be ready’ end quote. This was happening to a lot of customers. Many asked for refunds, as did I never to return.

I loved this pizzeria! Small and quaint. This was an amazing pizza! There was a good ratio of ingredients on the pizza. The sauce was sweet forward. The cheese was just the right amount of stringy and almost not greasy. Crust was firm, yet light and airy.

I never thought i would stop here, but i am now a fan. We walked in, 1st thing that hit us was a bad smell of old mop water ( not good). We was seated and ordered a 1/2 sausage 1/2 pepperoni that was tasty and crunchy thin Judy how i liked it. A side salad to match, but the dressing was not so good. She brought me this large side salad, that’s good but it was on a small plate food was spulling from the sides. The French dressing had some kind of pineapples in it, i should have been told that first. The bathroom is a 1 door, 1 stall place not good. But since they are a pizza joint, the pizza was AMAZING, I’ll probably go back just for a carry out tho.

We had booked a party of 30 at least 1 month prior and called to verify reservations 3-5 days prior to and Aurelio’s confirmed. On day of, room was dirty, not set up, chairs everywhere, staff didn’t know about the party, etc. and while the waitress and waiter felt bad about what happened, store manager did not care. Ultimately everything worked out but nobody even ran a vacuum over the carpeting to make it presentable. NOT UP TO THE CHAIN’S STANDARDS!

Not a huge fan of their pizza so I ordered their grilled chicken parmesan sandwich instead. It was so over cooked it was like chicken jerky! Pretty much inedible bc you choke when u swallow it bc it was so dried out and chalky. Hardly any sauce and didnt see any parm. $11.00 for this ️. Do not recommend.

2 times in a row, my order was wrong. First time, they added regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon…which was fine. I called to let them know bec maybe the young person who answered the phone didn’t know the difference, I just wanted to make them aware. The manager apologized and asked if I wanted a new one. I said it wasn’t necessary, that I just wanted to let them know. He said he’d add a $5 credit to my number for the problem so when I ordered in the future, I would have a credit. I told him it wasn’t necessary but I appreciated it nonetheless. Today I called to order again. They couldn’t find the credit but the girl gave it to me anyway when I explained the situation. I wasn’t really worried about the $5 but it was the point that they screwed up once now “lost” the paper indicating the credit. Well then I ordered my pizza for pickup and I CLEARLY said 1/4 cheese. My son can’t eat pork. I get home and the 1/4 that’s supposed to be cheese had sausage on it.
It’s just disappointing. These pizzas aren’t cheap and I’m honestly disappointed. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 15 years (no longer in the industry) and if I knew someone’s order was messed up last time…I’d make complete sure their current order was correct.
Food still tastes good…the parts we could eat. We love the sauce. But the service LACKS. I may have to commute further to a different location from now on. Funny thing is that I rarely leave reviews. Let alone bad ones. But the management should know, in my opinion.
