If you love hot pot, Aunty’s Hotpot is hands down the BEST hot pot on Oʻahu! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Every time we come here it feels like such a fun and cozy experience.

But what truly makes this place special is Aunty herself. She is the cutest, funniest, and sweetest woman ever! Her energy makes the whole restaurant feel welcoming and joyful. The customer service here is honestly some of the best on the island—you feel like family the moment you walk in.

You can really tell they care about their customers and the food they serve. If you’re looking for amazing hot pot, great vibes, and unforgettable service, this is the spot.

We absolutely love Aunty’s Hotpot and will keep coming back! ❤️ Highly recommend to anyone on Oʻahu looking for a delicious hot pot experience.

DELICIOUS!!! Aunty knows how to get it done!! This was the cleanest and most flavorful hot pot I’ve ever been to. I really liked that the fridge had assorted add-ins all wrapped up, bins with serving tongs, and also the awesome staff bringing you food, too. Made it great environment for anyone with allergies. Also their house made garlic sauce is really the only sauce you need from their sauce bar- it’s so good. The complimentary shave ice at the end was nice gesture but ok shave ice def go here for the hot pot. Lots of mushroom varieties for the vegetarians. I think I got a spicy fish broth. The whole place was packed and for good reason.

This is a fun place to visit once in your lifetime due to the uniqueness in heating up your own soup. There’s a little heating space for each customer in the table you seat. I was not impressed in the limit on time they give you to eat, nor the sign that reads you’ll be charged if you leave any leftovers. That’s the main reason I’m giving this place 3 stars.

I’ve been coming here multiple times over the many years its been open and I have never been unsatisfied. There’s a lot of options to choose from so you aren’t stuck with a few options. From the soup base to the meat and veggies to the non-soup food like the fries, gyoza, salt and pepper chicken etc.

A must go to if you’re ever in the area.

First time at a Hotpot house, and it was AMAZING! Aunty came to our table, talked to us, explained the menu, and made us laugh! What a wonderful lady! She was funny and kind. She made our visit even more special! It was our 25th anniversary, and she surprised us with beautiful dessert it is now an amazing memory! And the food was spectacular! THANK YOU AUNTY ❤️

I’m from the main land and there are a lot of hotpot places. I thought the tom yum broth was good and as it cooked more flavor came out. The meat quality was good. There were some veggies that have seen better days but I don’t know if it’s just because it’s hard to get a big variety of fresh veggies on the island. What made the place special was aunty herself. She was so kind and sweet and made sure you had enough food and broth. When we went she was out of shave ice but still tried to make the best by making a shaved ice bowl with ice cream on top. Highly recommend

I’m not a hotpot fan at all. I came here because my wife loves this stuff but after coming here I have changed my mind.

So the thing I typically don’t enjoy is that it’s just soup and I can’t ever really get full. We normally sit down and we as a group sorta have to decide all the stuff we want and I am typically hungrier than most so when everyone else is full I typically also call it quits too bc I don’t want to hold up everyone.

This place differs because I got my own bowl and I don’t have to wait for the staff to bring me the veggies and stuff. I don’t have to collaborate with my group to see what we all want. Instead it’s self serve and it freaking rocked. The All You Can Eat was worth it. So many noodle choices. So many veggies and sauces are great.

On top of it the staff is just incredibly on top of it. Aunty was actually in and she is a ball of light. Such a sweet lady. I wish we had one in Connecticut because we would be there weekly.

I recently visited Aunty’s Hotpot House, and it turned out to be a satisfying hot pot experience on the west side of Oahu. Located inside the Ka Makana Aliʻi shopping center, the restaurant offers a convenient location for both locals and visitors exploring Kapolei. The dining space feels modern and welcoming, with a layout designed for groups and shared dining, which naturally fits the interactive nature of hot pot cuisine.

Hot pot dining places a strong emphasis on ingredient freshness and broth quality, and Aunty’s Hotpot House delivers well in both areas. Diners are able to choose from different broth bases and then cook thinly sliced meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles directly at the table. The broths were flavorful without being overly salty, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to develop as they cooked. As the meal progressed, the broth deepened in flavor, which is one of the most enjoyable aspects of a properly prepared hot pot experience.

The quality of the ingredients stood out during the meal. The meats were sliced thinly enough to cook quickly while remaining tender, and the vegetables appeared fresh and well prepared. Seafood options added variety to the meal and complemented the broths well. Having a range of ingredients allowed everyone at the table to customize their meal according to personal preference.

Another highlight was the sauce and condiment station, which allowed diners to create personalized dipping sauces. Mixing sauces is an important part of hot pot dining, and the variety available provided the opportunity to balance flavors with savory, spicy, and citrus elements.

Service throughout the meal was attentive and helpful. Staff members were friendly and assisted with explaining the process for guests who might be new to hot pot dining. The pacing of the meal felt comfortable, allowing diners to cook and enjoy their food at their own pace without feeling rushed.

The overall atmosphere contributes positively to the experience. Hot pot restaurants are naturally social environments, and Aunty’s Hotpot House encourages that interaction by providing a comfortable setting for groups and families to gather around the table.

Overall, Aunty’s Hotpot House offers a solid and enjoyable hot pot experience with fresh ingredients, flavorful broths, and a welcoming dining environment. It is a convenient and satisfying option for anyone in Kapolei looking for an interactive meal centered around shared cooking.

We got in for the lunch special and the food was great. It was very quiet since we got a late lunch and we were one of the few groups in there. The bar of side dishes was great, the fridge full of extra stuff like noodles, tofu, veggies was also plentiful. To end our meal, the owner gave us dessert on the house! Love this hot pot (and I’m not even a big fan of hot pot in general)

We enjoyed our first time experience here! Our family of 10 decided to have our dinner get together. We were there early at 5p and the staff were able to accommodate our party.

Food: This is an AYCE hot pot place. Great selection of meat and high quality as well. The vegetables, noodles and seafood selection is high quality and fresh.

Great selection of broth. From beef, chicken, seafood, tonkutsu and you can customize the spice level. Be warned: Spice Level 1 is FIRE ! The broth is bit the best, may need some work in my opinion.

But what I loved is that you get your individual pot and you can add and customize to your liking.

Atmosphere : Lively and Vibrant but feels relax and homey. I love Aunty who is helping the staff, talking to the customer. She made everyone feels welcomed.

Service: Top Notch! Great attentive service even when they got busier later in the evening. She is a great host, made our evening a wonderful experience. Aunty made the whole restaurant sing Happy Birthday to my sister. And we got a big bowl of shave ice after our meal.

Highly Recommended and we will come back for sure. This place really value customer service.
