I had the Philly. The sandwich and a bag of chips was over $20. The cashier was very friendly and I let her know this was my first time at the restaurant. She recommended the Ruben. I gave a poor rating because the sandwich was mediocre. It was thin, dry, and not flavorful, I didn’t finish it even though I was hungry. I certainly could get a better sandwich at subway for a quarter the price.

I had half a sandwich and a piece of pie. The sandwich was delicious, good quality bread, meat, and cheese. The pie was nothing special. The crust was not very good, and the berry filling was syrupy and sweet.

Paid $10 for a chicken salad sandwich scooped out of a plastic container, I asked if a side was included, I was told you can do a half sandwich and side, but I had already ordered. I like to support small business but this is just too high priced. I don’t know, maybe I ordered the wrong item? The people were nice enough but for a mediocre chicken salad sandwich, I won’t be back.

Auntie Em’s is the BEST!! The food is beyond amazing, the best in Lawrence, and this still doesn’t shine a light on the absolute class of their employees. They are wonderful, caring people who create the most excellent environment from the second you walk into their store. A must-try for any Lawrence native or anyone looking for amazing food.

Love this place. I go there at least twice a month and get the Ruben I’ve tried other things on their menu as well and have never been disappointed. Very friendly owners. Good food. For sure would recommend. Too many fast food places out there and this place has that hometown vibe that you can only get in a place like this.
