I asked for the freshest thing, Girl in the artsy glasses said the nuggets just came out the oven just lied to my face n handed me the stalest most rubbery driest cold cup of nuggets ive ever had. I ate about 5 of em n had to toss the rest. I should not have tipped. I am pissed off, I waited all day to treat myself. You guys need to tell ur staff to be honest, seriously! Trash service.

I’ve had several experiences here to where the manager not only treats the customers like crap but the employees as well. The other day I was there and I was being helped by a friendly older lady and the manager turns around and yells for her to stop and let somebody else help me. I was in the middle of ordering so the older lady turned back around and kept helping me so the manager yells again “Now” ! For her to stop. Another time I was here she yelled at another employee because they came to take my order and she told them the customers can wait.
When I come to spend my money I don’t expect to hear customers can wait in such an aggressive tone, not a give a minute or I’m sorry we are doing a shift change or whatever the issue.
I see they never keep many employees here as I frequent this place often so I’m assuming it’s the manager but I blame upper management for not taking the time to wonder why employees don’t stay or even why sells go down as I’m sure that most customers walk away if they hear they can wait when they are just trying to spend their money. I walked away the day she said customers could wait with my children crying because they wanted the pretzel bites, this is a problem that I feel they should check into to see what is going on.

I only give this shop a three because rarely do they have everything available, unlike the shop at Beachwood Place, where every item is available all the time. However! However, foe some reason the taste of the food at Great Lakes is better than at Beachwood. So I guess you can choose from limited availability and having to wait for your food to be ready but tasty, or immediate gratification but average taste.

I am so frustrated with this location. It is at the local mall and they don’t seem to understand how to schedule people or the preparation of their products. On a recent visit during the middle of a Saturday around 1:30 pm, they were out of everything (food products, not the drinks) and I asked how long for just an original pretzel and they said at least 20 minutes because they hadn’t started making them yet. This has become very common at this location, and I’m not sure if that is a result of staffing issues, baking schedule issues, or both. On another visit, Monday, Jan. 24, they were supposed to open at 11:00 am. I was there at 11:18 am (as shown in the picture below) and there was no food prepared or available to purchase, no employees behind the counter at all, and two employees were sitting and eating at a table next to the booth. I’m not sure what was going on there, but clearly, no work was being done. Then today, Sunday, Feb. 13, we stopped by at 3:30pm and they had “temporarily closed” to make a catering order. Again, it’s the middle of a weekend shift and you’re not taking new orders for what we were told “at least 30 minutes”? It’s too bad too because this location used to be reliable and consistent but over the last few years (starting even before the pandemic), it has really gone downhill significantly.

After seeing how the manager treats employees and customers, I can’t consciously patronize this establishment. While waiting in line, a few teenagers were harmlessly goofing around and she threatened to call security and have them kicked out. These were customers! Not much longer afterwards, she belittled one of the employees. I walked out of the line and so did a few others. They were clearly understaffed and the young manager lacked any communication skills. Immature.

I came here just to get a lemonade, the 2 employees were making pretzels, so I patiently waited for them to finish up & take care of me. They were laughing and working & didn’t even acknowledge me standing at the register. Someone could have said, “be right with you” or “we’re closed for the day” ANYTHING. After five minutes of being ignored I just walked away & went else where. Their customer service is never great but never this bad.
