I don’t give TikTok credit for much, but I will credit it with pointing my wife, and myself by extension, to not only this incredible little deli, but the whole complex that contains it, filled with an antique mall and a handful of cute, quirky shops. For this review, though, we’ll stick to the meat (& bread, cheese, veggies and condiments) of the matter.

In short: yes. Very much yes! My wife ordered the Aunt Tillie’s Club, which she saw online and was the impetus for our visit, whereas I waffled between the tuna melt and the Aunt Tillie’s Special (basically a grinder), eventually settling on the latter. Both of us were in heaven: sizeable portions, fresh bread, just enough condiments, and plenty of toppings to go around! My wife thought she was going to have to take a least half of it home, then changed her mind and powered through, leaving nothing behind!

We dined just outside the restaurant proper, on one of the patio tables in the “mall”, but there is plenty of seating inside (just not enough to accommodate the rush, it seems), plus a quaint little pub at the back that is easy to miss, but adds another layer to an already charming sandwich shop. We were both so impressed by the entire experience, that we are guaranteed to return, likely sooner than later! Very recommended!

Very friendly folks working here and delicious sandwiches!! We usually get the Turkey Club and change the bread for a slightly toasted French roll. It has avocado, tomato, perfectly cooked bacon, regular or smoked turkey (I asked for the smoked and it was lightly smoked and tasty) thin purple onion and shredded lettuce. I can’t emphasize enough how shredded lettuce is the ideal lettuce choice for sandwiches on rolls. They also have fresh made soups, deserts and a connected bar. It’s in a funky old building in the Hollywood district. Recommended!!

Aunt Tillie’s highly recommended!! Always a great sandwich! We’ve never had one from here that we didn’t like. Usually order to go at least every other week. Gone in a few times on a Saturday to eat in. The staff has been super friendly, fun, and fast! The sandwiches are just wonderful and a great deli time!

Tillys is a hidden gem in the Hollywood District above the antique Alley antique mall.
Tillie’s is a great step back in time to grab a real milkshake sandwiches or a homemade snack, it even has a pub with watering machines

The service is very friendly. The place is full of character and charm of days gone by.
Not fancy at all, but very different than most places in the Portland area.
Definitely worth stopping by for a very inexpensive, milkshake and great potato salad.

An idea deli experience. The sandwiches are great, staff is good, and the food comes quick.

Also the market space Aunt Tillie’s is located in is fun. There’s a big vintage store on the bottom floor. The whole place feels well themed.

The only complaint I have is the pricing. $40 for two sandwiches with chips, a beer, and a soda is a little much at a deli. Not a deal breaker, I have and will be back.

These sandwiches were PERFECT. The bread was toasted perfectly, the helpings were hearty and filling, and the atmosphere was laid back.

Definitely treat yourself to a Club Sandwich or a Grilled Cheese and Ham on a rainy Portland day. ️

Had the hot ham and cheese today for lunch. Took my kids and a friend. They had the Aunt Tillie, Tuna Melt and Chef Salad. Everything was delicious. Next time, we need to get dessert!

We had the Ruben and the club. Both sandwiches were nice to eat but I didn’t feel that they were anything special. The price is a little high for not including a side, but I’d still go back if I was hungry and in the area. The guys working were friendly and personable. The tables were pretty sticky even though they had been wiped down. I’m guessing too much soap in the cleaning bottles. But I’d take that over dirty tables any day! Overall… I wouldn’t make a special trip, but I also wouldn’t say no if a friend wanted to have lunch there.
