We happened upon this gem on our travels today. So glad we did! Food was wonderful…Aunt Bea and her granddaughter were wonderful…just such a sweet, old style diner experience. Highly recommend!

Tried Aunt Beas for the 1st time tonight and I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner! Got carryout: the meatloaf dinner with mashed taters, gravy and Mac n cheese. My better half got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. He said it was one of the best burgers he’s had in a long time! My meatloaf was tasty and the Mac n cheese was great! Mashed taters n gravy were fantastic. Very reasonably priced too! The owner was the only one working and she was so sweet. We will definitely be eating from here again!!!

It isn’t everyday that you get to eat at an establish that has been around for 31 years. Aunt Bea did the cooking and I can’t help but think of grandma’s cooking. I hope you get to enjoy it before she hangs up the name.

Down home setting. Real home cooking.
Biscuits and gravy were as authentic as you’re going to find in the Midwest.
I’ll definitely remember this place for next time.

This Cafe was AMAZING! I am from the south and grew up on southern cuisine! Aunt Bea outdoes herself! Yeah felt like I was back home! We will be returning and let me tell you what…. That sweet tea this southern gal loved the collards and enjoyed washing them down with some real sweet tea! Everything was authentic and so delicious! Felt like I was back in my grandmama’s kitchen! A must go to for soul food! Cause this hit my soul! Amen! And Amen!

Just tried this place tonight and it was some of the best food I ever had. Aunt Bea was so sweet and I loved talking to her. She said she’s been open 32 years and hasn’t changed a thing and I love that. 10/10 will DEFINITELY be back

Do not support this business.

Bea was incredibly rude to us. After simply asking a clarifying question, Bea jumped into saying incredibly hurtful, nasty, and contemptuous things to us, even making one of our group run to a bathroom to cry. I was stunned, I actually couldn’t believe someone could be so unapologetically mean. You would think someone running their own business would know how to speak kindly to others. This was never our experience with Aunt Bea, which was totally unacceptable.

I mean this with every fiber of my being: I would never recommend Aunt Beas Cafe to anyone, simply due to how its business owner treats strangers. People deserve kindness and patience, not insults and fear. I only wish we had it on video.

There isn’t a food, nor frankly an apology in this world good enough to make up for the terrible and spiteful way she made our friends feel. Please forward your patronage to someone who deserves it.

Have eaten here for years. Best home cooked meals I’ve ever eaten. The owner works her cafe herself. Welcoming, pleasant, and food is cooked as ordered.

First things first, as soon as I walked through the front door Bea looked at me and looked away without speaking. When she realized I may have been there to actually get food she finally decided to ask if I needed to see a menu. I immediately noticed her tone of voice with her assistant was less than kind. I actually ONLY stuck around to see if her interactions with this young lady improved. Sadly they did not.
Once she realized that I was observing everything transpiring, Bea tried to speak in a lower, more stern tone to this young lady.

However, knowing Bea since I was a child, I was keenly aware that she was still being snippy and rude to the young lady named Michelle– whom has obvious special needs. It was difficult listening to her ordering Michelle around and Michelle responding so respectfully; calling Bea ma’am. They disappeared in the back room for quite awhile so I can only presume Michelle was being reprimanded for something slight.

TBH, I would not allow Bea to prepare me a grain of rice. Food handling, storage and safety are questionable at best. She needs to invest in some paid staff as well as cleaning products. Most importantly, she needs to invest in an attitude adjustment because the way I witnessed her speak to and interact with her ‘help’ was so disgusting I left without food.
