Of course, we had to try the pizza. We ordered the Margherita and Pepperoni pies, and both were delicious authentic brick oven pies with that slightly charred crust, fresh cheese, and thinly sliced pepperoni. The pizzas are personal sized, which is perfect if you want one all to yourself.
Aumm Aumm at The Brownstone has a cozy, inviting vibe and would make a great date spot. The outdoor seating area is spacious and they have ample parking across the street at the Gym if need be. Overall this place did not disappoint!
Some of my favorites are the Caprese Salad Frito Misto Tartufo pizza. Yesterday,we went for cocktails and shared a Frito Misto. As usual , they were excellent. It was early but the place was pretty full. The bartender was very professional and efficient. Overall very good experience.
The waitress was especially rude and condescending, giving off the clear impression that she didn’t want us there. We were told we couldn’t bring or drink our coffee inside the restaurant because, according to her, “all restaurants prohibit it.” I don’t know what world she’s living in, but I’ve never once had an issue bringing a cup of coffee into a restaurant while eating.
The so-called “manager” came over and gave a bizarre explanation about food safety — claiming they didn’t want to be liable if we got sick and sued them. He even said we could bring a can of Coke but not a made drink, which made no logical sense. I understand if a business wants to encourage customers to buy drinks, but an attitude like this only drives people away. Not to mention, the manager mentioned that people have gotten sick eating here — which was honestly alarming. My gut feeling was that if my friend and I had stayed to eat, the waitress might’ve even spit in our food. That’s how hostile her demeanor was.
I strongly discourage anyone from coming to this location. If you want good Aumm Aumm pizza and friendly service, go to the North Bergen branch instead.
I’m will happily enjoy my meal — and my coffee — at another restaurant.
The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, making great recommendations and ensuring every guest feels welcome. Whether you’re here for a casual night out or a special occasion, Aumm Aumm delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates great Italian food and a cozy, lively ambiance!
We wanted to order drinks and food, and they were very rude telling us to throw away our drinks because we can get food poisoning from them, despite of us wanting to order food and drinks.
Empty restaurant on a Saturday lunch time, now we understand why! They don’t serve all customers
