I ordered the General Tao plate and was fully satisfied with it. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was indescribably Delicious!
The steamed broccoli was prepared perfectly, and the chicken with the sauce was crispy and delicious!

Absolutely without a doubt THE worst Asian restaurant I’ve ever had The Sour Chicken had raw dough and the chicken meat itself was obviously frozen. The veggies that came with the plate were stone cold and had pineapple … like huh? The Hot & Sour soup … the photo will explain itself. I mean why was it tasting a little musty and goopy. The only edible item was the egg roll and even that was just lower than average. One bite and one sip of the soup was all I needed to know … threw it all in the trash ️ 2 ⭐️ ONLY because the delivery driver was nice.

August Moon, at 3635 Prytania Street in New Orleans. I went to have lunch on October 9, 2025. I dined in and ordered my food and when it arrived I noticed the plate I had was not clean. You can see the smudged of left overs maybe still stained on the plate. I said my grace and thought well the food still looks good and maybe I’m overthinking. I ordered a Hot Garlic Chicken with fried rice and a Cho-cho. I bit the Cho-Cho once and the second time I saw a cockroach fall out with my meat and veggies. I took pictures, told the waiter and the owner and they just said, it’s ok you can leave and offered me a fortune cookie, that I declined. I left the restaurant, didn’t have to pay but my stomach started to feel queasy and I didn’t feel well. All I can see is this roach in my head that I almost ate or maybe did eat a leg or so. I didn’t even get an apology. I’ll never stop to eat there again. It’s a small restaurant, kinda like a whole in the wall spot. I also seen a roach on their outside window stuck between the card board sales sign and the window… it stayed there for days or maybe weeks and was finally removed. First red flag. I didn’t say anything then, but now I need to write this review so people can know, it’s a Shame they don’t keep their restaurant clean and tidy. It’s been reported too.

Based on the four Vietnamese appetizers and soup we had delivered, we were quite pleased. Also, most of the menu seemed to cater to every neighborhood American-Chinese palette – that one can get anywhere else – for the quick Asian-inspired comfort food that we also crave from time to time. We would definitely go back for the Vietnamese fare.

If I could give it a zero I would! I really wanted to return the food and request for a refund but my mom was receiving chemo and said she would just eat it. It WAS absolutely AWFUL what they served on this plate! I honestly can’t believe they served this.
August Moon was once a top notch restaurant. NOT ANYMORE!

Won’t get again. Crab Rangoon was burnt, dry inside, and only came with 4 pieces and no sauce. The veggie egg rolls were very oily. The vegetable lo mein portion size was good but super oily and not a lot of flavor.

I’ve ordered take out from here a bunch of times and always thought it to be delicious. My first time dining in, and I’m impressed. Very clean, nice tables and chairs and decor. Our server was very polite and welcoming. It was a great meal. Tried something new, too.
THE FOOD: Started with Chinese egg rolls, which I LOVE!!! The in-house hot mustard kicks butt! The heat just pops in your nose..love it. The egg rolls are fat and crispy and burst with flavors of cabbage and veggies and pork.
I tried fried tofu for the first time. Very bland on its own, the sauce is also mild. Little slices of red and orange peppers don’t add much. It was good the next day mixed with other leftovers.
My entree was Kung pao beef. Disappointed because it was not spicy at all. Added some hot mustard to give it kick. The beef was tasty.
My girlfriend had Sweet and sour chicken. Which was great. Chicken was moist and coating was good. She also had fried rice which is always good.

I visited here for dinner today and I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere of the place is cozy since it’s not very big or brightly light, but you get a sense of upscale as well. The great artwork on the walls as well as the attention paid to the small details gives it a sort of fancy and craftsmanship feel. For example the crown molding covering the entire restaurant helps ties things together while the solid wood chairs and tables are much better for the aesthetic. I ordered the General Tao’s chicken, with pork fried rice and Chinese egg rolls. Everything was delicious specially the chicken since it wasn’t heavily breaded to give off the illusion of bigger portions, as some places do. I would bring a date here, have a lunch meeting, meet my parents for lunch, it’s suitable for several occasions.
