As a nice touch, we were served fresh, in-house made chips as a courtesy. These chips were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a fantastic way to start our meal.
My significant other chose the Cornish Pasty, which was generously filled with tender sirloin steak and vegetables encased in a flaky, golden pastry. The flavors were rich and comforting, making for an authentic British dish.
My sister ordered the chicken, leek, and smoked bacon pie. The pie was savory and creamy, with the leeks and bacon adding a wonderful depth of flavor to the tender chicken.
I decided to try the Brussels Sprout salad, and I was not disappointed. The salad was fresh and vibrant, with the Brussels sprouts adding a nice crunch. The lemon dressing was light and flavorful, enhancing the natural taste of the greens without overpowering them.
Overall, the food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was inviting. We all left with satisfied appetites. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy some traditional British fare in a charming setting.
I recommend the Cooper sandwich and the Bella portabella ‘burger’ personally. But everything I and my partner have tried so far has been excellent.
One of our go-to’s for happy hour ‘date nights’ and will continue to be for some time!
We visited tonight for an early dinner that was an absolute delight! Started off with their Toad in the Hole bread pudding with caramelized onions, mild sausage and gravy! An absolute must have! Then onto fish and chips for my husband and a spectacular special for me – a MASSIVE pork chop STUFFED with gorganzolla and other goodies. Took home the Jameson Cake for later. Can’t wait to go back. Be prepared to be so stuffed you will have to role down the street.
