The fish was excellent and plenty of it on my plate. French fries filled the plate too. My wife enjoyed her tenderloin. They have two different versions. One huge, and one thick and more normal size. Take your pick.

Small area for seating. But the food was delicious. The tenderloin was very large and could easily feed 2 or 3 people. The fries they you add to your tenderloin are not a small amount they come in a separate basket and it’s full. The kids chicken tenders were great too. The cheese fries were melted shredded cheese over the fries. The wait staff was very friendly and polite. Definitely enjoyed our lunch there.

Your choice. They got me, they’ll get you too. I give local restaurants the chance time and time again. Over the course of 8 months we’ve ordered their food take out 8 separate times and never, is the food consistent. On 4 separate ordering food occasions we’ve had sub par food. I’ll explain. Their large tenderloin tastes different than their regular, so the wife likes it better. On this order, the large tenderloin was over cooked, i promise you, if this was ordered in the dining room they would’ve never served it, but bc it was take out they didn’t care. It was total garbage! Another time ordering, the fries aren’t anything special at all, no seasoning, no salt, just regular shoestring fries that weren’t fully cooked on both orders of meals. Fries are meant to compliment a burger, not here! Then on another separate order we were served their street corn dip as take out as well completely cold and so were the chips it comes with. Total garage again! On another ordering occasion i ordered a double burger where they didn’t even smash the patties down so the meat was literally two hockey puck size patties. Look, i live local i enjoy local food, but never will i eat here again. Dave’s Burger in Garrett is one guy, and every single time i order his food, it’s the same consistant food every single time. This place could learn a thing or two from Dave’s Burger.
A double cheese burger with fries, a breaded chicken sandwich with fries and a street corn dip side without drinks totaled $42 and that’s not including the tip i left. This was the hockey puck burger and again, under cooked fries order. I can go to Texas Roadhouse and eat for this price with consistent meals. Pretty sad, and it’s complete lackluster compared to every other restaurant. Not impressed whatsoever and will not be spending another dime here, total garbage, moving on!

Hadn’t been to Town Tavern in many years but I remembered the fish was good so we stopped in. I knew I was getting fish but wasn’t sure if I wanted a sandwich or basket. I picked the basket with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was very good the fries were ok way too many but the fish was not the best. It was somewhat over cooked and thought the coating had a flavor I didn’t care for. My wife chose the reuben although it tasted good was lacking corn beef. Not a good value. The waitress ask if she wanted fries or chips and went on to bragg how good the chips were. So she got chips and didn’t care for the seasoning. We also didn’t notice there was an up charge for the chips which was some of our fault. The waitress was very good and friendly and offered excellent service. We probably will think hard before we return.

Jennifer is awesome. Best server we have had in a long time. My 13 year old even commented, and told her that he wished she worked at every restaurant we go to. Bluegill, BLT, Quesadillas and chicken strip were all very good. Highly recommend.

Had the trio appetizer with friends ( didn’t get a picture) but it was very good. Probably the best cheese sticks I’ve ever had! Enjoyed the grilled chicken salad for sure. ( minus tomatoes) The chicken was hot, the lettuce was fresh & the shell wasn’t greasy. My husband ordered the blue gill and a single fish taco. If ever back in that area we’d go back for sure!

Worst tenderloin I’ve ever had!!! So thin it was hard. Damn near chipped my teeth taking a bite. Who would prepare a tenderloin like that? I know!! Towne tavern in Auburn Indiana. Onion rings were equally awful. They smelled spoiled like they haven’t changed the fry grease since July. Do not recommend at all!! Not even questionable! Hell No!!!!

I have come to the Tav for 5 years. A while ago, I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. It’s been my go to since. 2 years ago, the bartender suggested that I get it deep-fried and it was glorious. Once again my go to. The last two visits, however, the chef has refused to make it for me and this time a drunk patron got loud and chastised me for “demeaning” the staff. Did nothing of the sort. Her husband had to tell her to shut up for crying out loud ♂️ ♂️ ♂️. Nice place, but the attitude must change. I will give it one more chance.

Great family restaurant. The food came out hot and was well prepared. The fish dinner was a large portion and was tasty. Others in my party had shrimp and chicken. Very good service and recommend this place.
