Me and my family had a terrible experience at Plaza, but me especially. Being the picky eater I am, I just wanted a bacon cheese burger. It wasn’t on the menu, but since it’s a place known for its burgers I thought there wouldn’t be an issue. We ordered our food and waited 40 minutes. The place was empty so we were confused as to what was the hold up, but we were patient and understanding. When our food came, I received a grilled cheese with cheese and bacon…. Not the plain bacon cheeseburger I ordered. I already waited 40 minutes so I getting hangry. I went and told her politely that this isn’t what I ordered. I wanted a bacon cheeseburger plain and simple. The rest of our table continued to eat. The fries were hard as a rock and weren’t edible and The patties on the burgers tasted like frozen patties from the grocery store. Everyone was getting ready to leave and my food STILL was not ready. I was over it at this point and we walked out front and socialized getting ready to leave. The waitress ended up bringing my food out in a to go box and my husband put it in the car. When I went to open it, there was a burger bun with cheese and bacon. NO PATTY. This sent me. We were there about an hour and 45 minutes and I never got my correct order. And yes I stomped right back in there and told them how ridiculous this was.

I went to Plaza twice in one week! Once to try it out with my husband on our off day and I wouldn’t shut up about it the next day at work and went and got tots and war burgers for everyone I work with at The Flower Store. They all LOVED IT. The price and atmosphere are so so great and something I feel Auburn’s been missing in its massive growth recently. Being a local, it felt like the perfect neighborhood dive bar. It also seems like they’ve been handling COVID great as a new business which I can’t imagine dealing with. Everything on the menu is great and Auburn’s lucky to have this place and the people who run it. Much love to everyone there.

We had high hopes for good food based on previous reviews, however, our night out with friends was one of disappointment to say the least due to low quality of food. Two people in our party had the War Burgers with Tater Tots and French Fries on the side. The burgers were very greasy although the taste was not bad. It just didn’t have lettuce, onions or tomatoes to level it up. The size is a cross between a regular burger and slider. The tots and fries though were very salty, almost too difficult to eat. One person had the chicken sandwich and he said it tasted awful. It was unrecognizable as it was over cooked. Really, it was burnt. From across the table it looked like a huge hamburger patty due to the shape and color. Two of us had the gumbo. There was nothing special about it. I could have done a better job cooking it at home. The worst part is that our friends traveled 30 minutes only to be told that the place was closing at 7:00 due to a private party. We were only able to visit with them for an hour. If we had known this we would have picked a different place to hang out. We were so embarrassed. I don’t foresee us coming back.

Ordered 3 chicken sandwiches and 3 burgers. The food came out one at a time, so several trips to the window. We got the last chicken sandwich an hour and a half after we ordered, 45 minutes after everone was finished eating. It was some kind of mixup, but we kept asking for it with no urgency. No manager visible.
Food was good but a bad experience with how it functions. It was my idea to bring the family here to try his new restaurant, with my son’s girlfriend being the one waiting. We went from a good mood and having fun to frustrated. Oh well!

Have been going to Plaza twice a week since they opened—food is fantastic, my favorites are the Soul Rolls and Warburger. Great drinks and large craft beer selection with professional and friendly bartenders! Also love the beach bar atmosphere, very welcome addition in a town with lots of college centric speed bars.

War Burgers!! Incredible food and atmosphere. Go ahead and order three burgers because they are the bomb(be sure to dip burger in the war burger sauce). Boiled peanuts were best I’ve ever had and cheesy tots were wonderful. Good local hangout with a cool staff. My whole family loved this place and will be back soon.
