Booked several weeks before our visit, as the Christmas markets were on so Bruges was busy and reservations were needed.
The welcome and service at the restaurant was superb, with attentive and efficient staff making sure that the experience was superb.
The food was great. We both had smoked salmon to start, with beef Chateaubriand for mains which came with a choice of potato sides, a salad bowl, and choice of sauces. The beef was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The starters were presented well and also delicious.
Would highly recommend this restaurant. I found the pricing reasonable for the excellent food and service, and the location great as it is just off the main square.

*****5 Stars all round for Au Petit Grande, Bruges. The service, the food and atmosphere was nothing less than fantastic – the restaurant was fully booked, even with a sign on the door to say no walk ins, and yet we tried our luck and the waitress was kind enough to find us a table !!! The grilled prawns were fresh from the grill, and the fillet tender and pink. Highly recommend and reasonably priced!! Massive thanks to our waitress. Will be back !

Great place. Delicious food! The staff were super friendly and nice. Great service. We had a superb experience dinning here. I would return anytime. The place is beautiful! If you are in Bruge and want a very nice dinner you should definitely go to Au Petit Grand!

We booked Petit Grand well in advance because they can fill up. I chose them due to ratings and the large menu selections. Every dish was top notch. Though I much enjoyed my main dish, the Bruschetta was very special and the mousse might have been the best I’ve had over the last 3 decades ! Wow. My sweetie had the steak and was very happy with the preparation. The lighting is low which gives an atmosphere of intimacy. The decorations and dinnerware also add to the elegance of the place. Finally – for such wonderful food and service I was very pleased by the price. Highly recommended- you cannot be disappointed. Team Petit Grand – Thank You !

Incredible place, just around the corner from the square, so quiet, cozy and not noisy. The food is very tasty, especially the delicate flags and carpaccio. I recommend it for a romantic evening or a family dinner.

First – ensure that you make a reservation. If you don’t you may miss one of the better meals in your Bruges visit.
My wife had the salmon. She loved it. I had the fish gratin. I loved it. The service is friendly . They pay attention but do not hover. The atmosphere is”casual elegant” Nice setting and lighting, not pretentious, quiet and peaceful.
Menu has a good selection of meat and seafood. Desserts are a treat. Good selection of beers and liquors.
If you are visiting Bruges, this is a must visit.

My mom and I had a delightful dinner at Au Petit Grand on Christmas night! The owners, Tom & Line, were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. We had the shrimp croquettes and the cod. The interior is charming, and we had a table right near the window, looking out at the cobblestone street and Christmas lights.

What a wonderful experience. We booked for 8 people and though 2 were late, the staff were totally relaxed and understanding. Service was impeccable, food delicious and beautiful, and the atmosphere perfect for a celebratory or romantic meal and evening. Have rarely experienced such a serene atmosphere.
