Beautiful restaurant. The ambience is very nice and cozy. We did the tasting menu and it was such a great experience. We also did the wine pairing and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun! I’ve always wanted to come to Au Courant and it lived up to all expectations that I’ve had for it. A must visit in Omaha.

Great date night spot in Omaha!
Food and drinks were all fabulous. We each did the tasting menu and all the courses were filling, tasty, and well prepared. Nothing super over-the-top creative like some Michelin restaurants, but all the dishes were executed very well with strong, classical, and balanced flavors. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We received one of our dishes out of order (meat before pasta; we didn’t even notice until they mentioned it), and the waitress comped 2 drinks for us, which was totally unnecessary but very much awesome! It was a little noisy inside with people chatting, but obviously no fault of the restaurant plus it was a Saturday night. It’s great that this is also one of few restaurants on Resy in Omaha, so if you have an Amex card with credit then this is probably the best spot in town to use it at!

I made reservations over two weeks in advance for our anniversary and had originally planned to do the chef’s tasting. When the snowstorm hit, the restaurant called to reschedule and kindly offered to comp champagne, which I appreciated and accepted.

When we came in the next evening, however, it appeared that none of those notes carried over. There was no acknowledgment of the anniversary or of the reschedule. I wasn’t expecting anything additional, but a simple acknowledgment would have set the tone for what was meant to be a special occasion.

The food itself was very strong. Several courses were thoughtful, balanced, and well executed, and the lengua was a standout.

Unfortunately, the experience became inconsistent toward the end of the meal. Dessert was presented as what appeared to be a single scoop of chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone with sprinkles, served plainly on a plate. For a tasting menu at this price point, it felt disconnected from the level of execution shown in the earlier courses.

We also experienced cream curdling immediately upon being added to coffee (which was replaced), and we never received mignardises, despite seeing them served to other tables.

Individually these may seem minor, but together they created an uneven ending to what had otherwise been a very good meal.

I still left a full 20% tip, as the staff were working hard and there was a lot to appreciate. I am sharing this feedback because I know how important consistency and communication are to restaurants operating at this level, and I hope it is helpful.

Went on a Friday evening and enjoyed the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was one of the best dining experience we’ve ever had. From the food to the service, everything was top tier. We felt like family. If you’re doing the tasting menu, make sure to add the wine pairing. Staff is very knowledgeable and carefully select unique wines for each pairing. Highly recommend!

It was my first fine dining experience, and it did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing. My favorite dish of the evening was the gnocchi, and I appreciated the wine pairing enhanced by the lovely descriptions from the sommelier. I eagerly await the day when I dine here again. The only ding I have is that the dining room gets quite loud when full.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Omaha. Their menu changes weekly, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and by far the most elegant and intentionally curated plates in town. Micah took care of us tonight, and was a delight, as are all the other members of staff we have encountered in our multiple visits to this hidden gem. Don’t hesitate to try this masterful restaurant!

Fantastic experience at Au Courant. Restaurant has a great ambience and helpful wait staff.

All their food is locally sourced and fresh. While they have an A la carte menu, highly recommend the tasting menu.

$80 for about 6 courses was much worth it. Each dish was amazing and well portioned to leave you satisfied/full by the end.

The chef changes it each week!

I recently dined at Au Courant Regional Kitchen in Benson, and it was truly an exceptional experience. I opted for the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing, and it was nothing short of incredible.

Each course was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. The chef’s creativity and attention to detail were evident in every bite. The wine pairing was spot on, enhancing the flavors of each dish and elevating the overall dining experience.

The staff’s knowledge and passion for food and wine were evident throughout the evening, making the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable, adding to the overall charm of the restaurant.

If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Benson, I highly recommend the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing at Au Courant Regional Kitchen. It’s a gastronomic journey that will leave you delighted and satisfied.

Incredible dining experience at Au Courant. We did the chef’s tasting menu (with some augmentation for a pescatarian) & wine pairings. Every bite & every sip was absolutely perfect. Loved the tableside visits by the sommelier & had excellent service by all of the attentive staff. I cannot speak highly enough of Au Courant. This food is delicious art & they are Michelin StarS quality dining. Eat here if you want to enjoy one of the best meals of your life!

I can’t believe you can make a fortune serving straight-up mediocrity. The small piece of beef wasn’t even trimmed right, finding a piece of gristle just kills the experience. And green beans as the side? Really?? One of the worst tasting menu.
