We chose the Menu de Quai, a mid-priced set menu, and overall the food was excellent.

The starters were fantastic—tuna tataki for me and a terrine for my wife. The tuna was delicate but full of flavour, and the terrine came with loads of taste, plus an amazing relish and toast.

For mains, I had duck with roast potatoes and a brilliant sauce. The potatoes and sauce were outstanding, and the duck was good too. My wife had beef with frites—perfect fries, and decent beef. The meat in both dishes was good, but didn’t quite match the high standard of everything else.

For dessert, I had a brilliant cheese board with six cheeses (three seemed to be different types of Comté), and my wife had the mojito meringue tart—minty, light, and really tasty.

We had a lovely bottle of Fleurie with it all, and the total came to €110. For the quality of the food, that felt like amazing value. Highly recommend.

Restaurant by the river in the centre of Mâcon. Reservation is required, as this is a popular venue.

This restaurant is known for quality beef and traditional French cuisine. An impressive wine list for a restaurant of this allure, with some unknown beauties (as was this Gevrey-Duresses 1er cru!)

The alcoholic ice cream offering is quite over the top, and you’re guaranteed a buzz after.

Good service, excellent food.

We went there this afternoon at 13:45 while most restaurants would probably refuse to serve us as they are supposed to close at 14:00. We are very happy being served. The food were well cooked and delicious. Staffs were very nice to us.

Interior looks a little old-fashioned, but for us it was an asset. Very pleasant atmosphere, very good food, reasonable prices for wines.

2 out of 3 dishes were not good, as a started we took escargots, the were precooked and warmed up a little bit, after I sent it back, but it returned 5 minutes later not any warmer. My wife had a tuna steak, which was ok, but the St.Jacques scallops with risotto was not good. The risotto was pre(over)cooked. When I informed the waiter, he took my (almost full) plate without any apology and returned 10 minutes later with the menu for desert. This waiter was constantly poking with his finger in his mouth to get something between his teeth.
I will never go to this restaurant again.

Food was ok for the price point. Service was stuffy and un-hospitable.

As a Chef I would be delighted to teach the Chef of that restaurant to make Risotto.
The waiter was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Now for the owners of this restaurant, I would like someone to explain to me why do I have to wait 20mns to pay my bill, I had to wait in line to pay.

This was the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in a very long time. The menu is over priced and the food is well below average. Red wine served ice cold, beef ‘burger’ was pieces of rubbery cuts moulded together, poke mix (XL) was a tiny portion, made ‘fancy’ with a bit of foam and warm lettuce, steak was low quality cut, dry and chewy. Service was terrible, slow and unfriendly. All in all, awful.
