I very much enjoyed the freshness of the food, the house made hot sauce had a good pepper background but not hot enough to overpower the food. Service was very attentive but could slow down slightly. I did like watching all the staff work together…nice to see a team. The outdoor seating was very comfortable. Noise levels good. Prices appropriate for what you are served. Absolutely going to add to my rotation.

We did the caviar experience with the champagne and it was amazing. Everything was so fun to try and the champagne was so delicious. Emma was our server and made our experience extra special. We can’t wait to come again

Fantastic restaurant! Elegant yet modern, with attentive service and a relaxed but luxurious vibe. The oysters were perfectly fresh with great variety, and the menu, though short, was packed with delicious flavors and just the right portions. Beautiful décor and an all-around excellent experience. Highly recommend!

Overall a terrific experience. I have a few suggestions but… You will be happy if you go here!

Here’s our meal:
Cran and vodka $6
Classic Dirt Martini $12
Bread and butter – $8 ?? For 3 skinny slices of bread? It was great and comes with red pepper garlic butter. Ask for regular butter also if you want that.

We’ve eaten TONS of oysters.
These were the best we’ve ever had.

Their homemade hot sauce had a great flavor and starts slow but the heat builds, it’s awesome but you’ve been warned… Takes up to 2 minutes to feel the full heat!

We got the Arctic Char with the broccolini and heirloom rice with sauce – freaking awesome dish!

Sadly, the dessert menu had only 3 items and none sounded good so we came home and ate nutter butters.

Service and the manager were excellent from the moment we walked in until we left.

We used opentable to reserve, and marked special occasion, but nobody acknowledged that or asked, so that was a miss for them to really stand out service wise.

Good wine menu too, but we didn’t partake.

Overall, I highly recommend this place.

The menu options were great, and the wait staff was knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Our food was amazing. We started with oysters and bread service, and I definitely can’t wait to try other appetizers in the future. There was a wide selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

This place right now is my favorite place in Cincinnati. For starters, the service was first rate. Brandon and Emily were magnificent. I felt as though we were the only customers and they were taking care of us alone. The oysters (in my case) were a few rounds of the Peale Passage WA ones. So amazing. Some of the best I have ever had. At about $60 a dozen, I would probably have thought twice, but they were worth every penny. They were running a short staff that night and had a smaller than usual menu, but you wouldn’t have noticed or cared. The fish en croute was just unreal. And also a great item to share. The pastry was flakey and buttery and the fish was just melting in i your mouth perfection with every bite. The desert was the Concord grape tart, which was so original, and was such a treat for us. We had a port and a bourbon to go along with it. As a bonus, I had two of the most perfectly executed grey goose martini’s ever. Thank you for a superb dining experience, and yes, I was showing off my wife’s ring as it was our anniversary tonight

You can name any restaurant in Cincinnati—I’ve had it. But today, I finally decided to try Atwood Oyster House. Let me tell you… divine. Every dish being served looked incredible, and if it were up to me, I would’ve ordered the entire menu.

My friend and I take weekly walks on Fridays and Saturdays, aiming to hit our 10K step goals while trying different appetizers and happy hours at restaurants we’ve never been to before. We always end our 10 PM steps with a protein-rich but healthy meal. Atwood did not disappoint.

We started off with a glass of Riesling, the apple cocktail, nine oysters, and the bread & butter. I ordered the mussels, and my friend got the fish sandwich. We ended our meal with the strawberry tart, chocolate torte, and matcha tiramisu. Everything was spectacular.

Oh, and the matcha tiramisu? On the house. Why? Because our amazing server, Brandon, saw my excitement and heard me say it’s my favorite dessert of all time—so he threw one in for free. Brandon was honestly the highlight of our night. His charm and natural wit truly elevated the experience. He gave amazing suggestions, and even the way he interacted with the table next to us made us love him even more. He was so sweet and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. And not only did he serve food, but looks as well (that haircut is tea). He’s your dream server!

If you want excellent service, great food, and a beautiful ambiance, Atwood Oyster House is about to be your new favorite spot.

Atwood Oyster House is a seafood lover’s paradise! The oysters are incredibly fresh, and the variety available ensures there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is chic yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for both a casual night out or a special occasion. Beyond oysters, the rest of the menu is equally fantastic; the seafood dishes are expertly prepared, with bold flavors that really stand out. The cocktails were the best ones I have ever had, they were so creative (e.g. horseradish in a cocktail) and just amazing in flavor.
The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. If you’re in Cincinnati and love seafood and amazing cocktails, Atwood Oyster House should be at the top of your list. Highly recommend!

This time they hit a 5 star rating! We had reservations at 6:15pm on Sunday and were seated right away. Our server, Grace, took very good care of us. We started with a gin drink called The Wasp. It was very unique and tasty. We would order it again for sure.

This time we tried items on the menu that we didn’t have the first time, and let me tell you, what everyone says about the Carolina Rice is spot on. The smokiness is perfect, the greens were cooked well, there was a lot of delicious crab, and the rice…oh my goodness it was the creamiest rice ever. Mixed all together is was perfect. The PEI mussels, although a smaller portion than you would get at other places and a little more expensive, had this fabulous smoked tomato broth on top of perfectly cooked polenta. Heaven on a plate it was! We also tried the Potato Mille-Feuille. It is a potato “log” made of thinly sliced layered potatoes with a bright herb topping. It would be really good ordered with the pork chop or fish.

To start we ordered oysters again-four different types. All of them were great. Grace let us take the page from the menu to write notes about each type so we could remember for next time what we liked the best.
If anyone asks us where we like to eat in OTR, Atwood would be high on our list.

Let me start by saying that we dined on a Saturday evening just two weeks after they opened. We had reservations at 7pm. and were seated promptly by the friendly hostesses Faye and Emily. The interior is beautiful and the chairs were very cozy. The wine list has a variety of wines from different countries and we chose a Gruner Veltliner from Germany that was lovely. The menu is very small, and had a list of 6 different oysters and explanations of their taste. However, because the place is new, they are still learning about how to stock their oysters to have enough for a bustling crowd. They were out of 3/6 listed. BUT, Brandon the manager was gracious enough to offer two other types of oysters and comped us for those. They were very fresh and tasty. He was very personable and stopped by a few times to refill our wine. Our server Alex was also great and took good care of us.

We ordered the paw paw bread because we have never heard of such a thing, and it was very good. It’s a sweetbread with a delicious sorghum butter. The ham was served with capers, which it did not need because it was very salty to begin with. The bowl of local vegetables was very rustic, and included fennel, which I love, but some folks might not. For our mains we ordered the black grouper and the pork chop. I loved the pork chop and the way it was served with the madeira glaze and the different beans (and fennel in this too). It was cooked perfectly! However, the fish dish missed the mark. For $37 the serving size was very small. The puree was lovely and well-seasoned, but the piece of fish was so over-salted we only ate a few bites. Also, the creamed greens were mustard greens that night, and so undercooked they were inedible.

Next time we go back, I’m hoping to give this place 5 stars, because it has the potential to be fabulous
