Of all of the Atwaters in MD this one is my favorite. It has so much charm and it is quaint. It is great for solo or group breakfast or lunch. I really love that they change their beverages with the season. They also offer local jams/preserves, pastries, kombucha and kimchi. It is easy to drift away here with a latte and book for hours.

This is the very best cafe to buy Traditional Americana foods, especially for the holidays (think Thanksgiving and Christmas). It is expensive, but the quality of ingredients and product is the best I have found around Baltimore: curated selections of holiday fixings and their required sauces/gravies, jams, preserves, relishes; pies (sweet and savory (pot pie and Scottish pie), cookies, and cake (and the very best fruitcake!). The coffees are elegant and purist (no starbucks concoctions but what a proper barista crafts from coffee and esspressos), and there are other nibbles. This is just what I remember.

Always warm, professional, and helpful are the staff. The only thing missing is your centerpiece. You need to find your ham or bird elsewhere (plus one or two other things possibly), but everything else makes the holiday perfectly effortless and effortlessly perfect.

Best guess, if your party is 4-6, then don’t expect to leave with less that $150 – $200+ bill if you go all out. A 4oz cortado is $5.00; the avg price of a large sweet pie is $30, sweet smalls $10, $15 small savory; jams, gravies, sides and such avg. $12; Fruitcakes x size = $22 – 42; you get the idea.

Budget for it. Totally worth it. Once you try, you are a superfan. Expect that it may become your holiday tradition too. No joke. A fine meal Atwaters crafts is a priceless holiday gift to share with your people.

Once you know Atwaters, you know what the best of Baltimore has to offer at a price you will discover that you are surprisingly willing to pay.

My daughter frequent Atwater’s often simply because we live in the neighborhood. My visit today was disappointing. I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Yellow Split Pea Soup. The first time I ordered that same sandwich it was made with more apples, what happened. There should be consistency in making the same sandwich in spite of the fact a different person makes them.

This is my second visit at Atwater’s Belvedere Square for breakfast. I was picking up my glasses in the vicinity and decided to give one last chance for breakfast. So disappointing again! My bacon was so burnt and scorched that it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. When replaced, I was presented with dripping grease bacon and not the extra bacon that I paid for. I advised that I paid for extra bacon and received after. My potatoes were so old that they taste like they’ve been stored for days in the refrigerator. When I put my fork in the potatoes they cracked and fell apart. The taste was awful. Most of the onions on the potatoes were recooked and also scorched. So much grease. The eggs freshly cooked but poorly presented. They were also semi-burnt. The presentation overall was horrible. The taste was very dissatisfying and quite disturbing to my tastebuds.

Again, this was my second visit for breakfast. It is most certainly my last. My first visit with my son was horrible. I had to have our food remade. The bacon then was also super burnt and potatoes were old and everything was dripping with grease. I will continue to bypass Atwater’s during my visits at Belvedere Square.

To add, my dissatisfaction of the scorched bacon was not displeasing to, I think, the manager (Asian female) as she poured the new bacon as the grease dripped ahead of the bacon, on the rest of my food. So distasteful and just disgusting.

Maybe the fix would be new management, food & safety classes, presentation classes, updated/refreshed customer service courses. It’s such a poor look on Belvedere Square overall.

I really enjoy coming to Belvedere Square just to walk around and hopefully find something different to eat.

Today, I tried Atwater’s Chicken Salad. Be mindful of the expiration date and ingredients on the package.

Great customer service too

It’s always been good. They need to step up their coffee and pastry game, though. The pain au chocolat was very mediocre. Especially for the same price CDL charges.

At water’s is a gem. I specifically was meeting a friend for breakfast and conversation and found everything perfect. The food was good. The atmosphere was lively and warm. Perfect for what I was hoping for.

Delicious food and high-quality lattes. The market square is a good spot to people watch. Food can get backed up when busy so be patient or come during off hours

I love this marketplace and I especially love Atwater’s. They have vegan choices here and it’s specially delicious. They have Veggie Rueben but they can make that Vegan for you. So good.
