We have been here many times as Finn’s steakhouse and this was our first experience at attwoods and it was below par.. my steak was ordered at medium and came out more med well – well which I wouldn’t have complained about but my husbands came out over well done when ordered at medium rare. The restaurant comped our steaks which was nice but we weren’t allowed enough time for my husband to eat his redone steak (they didn’t re-do mine) before boxing and moving on for the night. The sides were cold and under par. Just overall an under par experience. We always compared Finn’s to a local version of a nice steakhouse and it is no longer. If you’re looking for a dining experience that aligns with the menu cost bowdies in GR is the place to go! The photo is of a med rare steak served by Atwood.

New to Grand Haven and decided to try this restaurant based on the great reviews. We ordered the prime rib, potato gratin, and crab pasta. The prime rib was full of flavor and did not disappoint. The potato gratin was also delicious. However, the crab pasta had a strong fishy taste—more like fish than crab—which was disappointing, so I wouldn’t recommend that dish. Overall, we had a good experience and will definitely come back to try other menu items.

I was pleased to see that the wine list has really improved at Attwoods (the former Finn’s) in Spring Lake. They now have a good variety of attractive wines at reasonable price points.

It started out not so good but quickly turned out to be fantastic. Talked with Uriah the manager who was interested in our input about music and seating. He agreed our steaks were not cooked properly and quickly made it right. Uriah later came back for more input and was very thankful for our input. Todd our waiter was fantastic once he got to know our vibe. We will definitely be back again. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

I had a lovely dinner here with a party of 4. Our food and service was excellent. We split the goat cheese starter and loved the cheese and bread. I had the ahi tuna entree and it was absolutely perfect. The fish was perfectly prepared with great flavor and the rice was wonderful. We really enjoyed our desserts and drinks as well. I definitely will be back here!

Wonderful evening. Reason for the 4 star on food only because 8oz filet came well done when ordered medium rare… HOWEVER, our waiter checked on us and immediately noticed the filet was over cooked. Insisted on taking it back to chef, and new filet mignon perfectly cooked came out about 10 mins later. Then the manager and waiter “comped” about $40 off our bill for the mistake. I left a generous tip on what would have been the full bill. Definitely recommend, and will go back. We had the Beef Tartare with quail egg, the salmon entree and the filet with 3 jumbo prawns, mashed potatoes and glazed carrots.

This is by far the best steakhouse and upscale restaurant experience I have had in West Michigan. I brought several international guests here (who work in food & hospitality) and they agreed that this was top notch dining for any major city. The food was outstanding and the menu had something for everyone. But it was our server, Todd, who really made the evening come together. It’s easy to find fancy places with expensive food, but Todd made it feel comfortable and personable with impeccable service, honest recommendations, and a great sense of humor. A hidden gem in West Michigan & definitely a place we will return to — well worth the drive from Gr Rapids!

Applause, applause, applause! Attwood’s was referred to me, and we had to check it out. This is a first class restaurant with all the amenities and more. The staff is wonderful connecting with you on a personal level. Overall the staff really goes out of their way to make sure you’re happy. The steak and lobster is super delicious, and their presentation is first class. So happy we found this hidden gem on the Westside.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner. Look forward to coming back.

Our Anniversary dinner tonight did not disappoint!!! The Whitefish dip was fresh, flavorful and very creamy…The steaks were cooked and flavored to perfection. Everyone certainly enjoyed their choices.
Our server was extremely attentive and gracious. At the end of the evening, she presented us with a personal note of congratulations.
