I’m a little biased (my brother owns the place), but Atticus Bread Company is seriously awesome. The bread is next level, everything’s fresh, and the vibes are great. Even if I wasn’t related, I’d still be a regular.

You’re going places-big places. Your breads are some of the very best (in all categories) we’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
One of the most beautiful aspects of your presentation is the fact that it’s not pre-sliced, because bread that perfect and beautiful should be left whole so it can be enjoyed visually first. We’ve had sliced bread since the 1920’s, and it’s about time to see breads presented as they should be presented: in their perfect natural just-out-of-the-oven state of glory.
Thank you so much for sharing your considerable culinary talent with us; you’d be hard-pressed to find better loaves anywhere, even in Europe. You’re well on your way to being one of the most respected bread bakers in the industry. You have a gift!

Hands down, this is the best sourdough I’ve ever had—even better than the fresh loaves I’ve had from Boudin Bakery in San Francisco. The flagship store has been a total game-changer for me; I used to hunt this bread down at farmers markets, and now it’s finally more accessible.
The crumb is incredible—airy, chewy, and perfectly balanced with that classic tangy sourdough flavor. My go-tos are the heritage sourdough and the asiago & roasted garlic, but honestly, everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. When it comes to treats, the buckwheat cookies are a must, and if you’re lucky enough to catch the pepperoni & bacon rolls on the rotating menu, don’t pass them up.
I also love the sourdough baguettes—they’re amazing for garlic bread, sliced up for bruschetta, or simply dipped into a hot bowl of soup. I’m just so glad we finally have truly great sourdough in our area.

First time visiting Atticus – got a loaf and a baguette to take home. We also enjoyed a cup of coffee from Goldberry and sat on the patio for a bit. Will definitely return!

In a way I hate to have to do this, but I have to! After seeing and reading about Atticus at Market 42, yesterday I finally bought a sourdough bread against my better judgment and just to say I tried it. It is excellent, looks great and the people there were very nice. The price? Atrocious!!! $12 dollars!!! Today I had to drop off one of my grandsons to CIM and On The Rise is much closer from there than from my house, so I stopped by. They have a ham and Gruyere sandwich that is my favorite and can’t be close and not get one. Plus, their Epi bread is also my favorite. I was also motivated to see how their sourdough compares but they were out of the Organic Sourdough Batard. The price shown was $5.50, and yes, it would have been a smaller loaf but less than half price! I checked the price of the “Authentic French Baguette” and it is $3.50 versus Atticus’ $7 for the Sourdough Baguette. So, $12 or $5.50 and $7 or $3.50. On The Rise owners were trained in France and everything I ever bought there was excellent. There is also another bakery in Cleveland called Leavened that has similar quality and prices to On The Rise. Not to be unfair, while searching, I found a bakery in Florida called The Leavened Box that sells “Original Sourdough Full Loaf” for $20!? And elsewhere, I don’t remember where, a loaf that has eatable gold and silver in it for $1,300! Crazy! Anyway, for Cleveland, we have choices and $12 is not a good one, even though the bread is excellent! Because I hate to do this, I will not ding the stars but know that 5 stars are for the excellence of the bread!

BEST sourdough I’ve found in Ohio! Atticus Bread Co truly cares about quality and minimal ingredients. Each product is a mastered recipe. I have a great love for high quality baked goods- and these are it! So grateful I found Dustin and his team. They are my only bread suppliers now!

Great bread bakery in a unique food court setting. When my family and I walked in a baker was there shaping dough at the bench while we ordered- very cool to see the work happening right in front of us. Olive and feta bread make it home; think our crew finished it in 30 minutes.

Amazing sourdough! Love the seasonal muffins too, they are not overly sweet and excellent quality for the price. Highly recommend it all!
