From the sea urchin with egg and nori to the wagyu ribs and Spanish mackerel, we enjoyed every course and the attentive service. This was our second time and it was every bit as good as the first. The fried chicken strikes me as more of a tempura, twice fried, with two dipping sauces and tasty banchan. We really liked the fluke as well and the squid stuffed with shrimp. We highly recommend Atoboy.

Went on Oct 15th.

The sweet potato ice cream was absolutely fantastic and my favorite dessert of the year. And I eat a lot of dessert. It tasted so sweet potato-y, and had charred smokey little crumbles and a date caramel sauce that evoked the taste of a nice fire roasted sweet potato. If I could just buy this dessert, I would every week.

I went with a friend, so we tried 2 prie fixe orders. The sea urchin egg jjim was also great.

The rest were okay or not great for the price. We had the bluefin tuna, the fluke, the squid, sweet shrimp, suyuk, pork galbi and fried chicken.

Atoboy delivers an exceptional modern Korean dining experience that feels thoughtful, refined, and deeply satisfying. The prix fixe format allows each dish to shine, with courses that balance comfort and creativity while highlighting bold, clean flavors. Definitely come with friends to try everything on the menu!

Every plate is beautifully executed–layered, precise, and never overcomplicated. The progression of the meal feels intentional, keeping you engaged from start to finish, while showcasing both traditional Korean elements and contemporary techniques.

The space is warm and minimalist, and the service is polished yet relaxed, making the experience feel special without being intimidating. It’s the kind of restaurant that reminds you how powerful restraint and balance can be when done well.

A standout choice for a memorable night out in New York and a must-visit for anyone interested in modern Korean cuisine done right.

Went on 2025-02-14. It was valentine set menu. Uni egg custard was absolutely delicious. Squid and octopus were both really well executed and the caviar pairing was a great idea. Was a bit skeptical about the fried chicken at first, but I’m glad we ordered it. It was marinated with pineapples and double fried. Couldn’t really taste the pineapples but it does have a subtle refreshing taste to it. Dipping sauce was great.

Love that they have a good variety of seasonal dishes. Overall 5 stars!

Every course was excellent! I came with my wife and we shared, so we got to try two different dishes for each course. The uni dish was incredible. The squid dish is very special. Both entrees are equally good. We paid for the fried chicken. The portion is small but it was piping hot and melts in your mouth. It’s worth the try.

If I had to pick my favorites: sea urchin, squid, fried chicken, and the steamed rice that came with the entrees.

Being that this is the sister restaurant of our absolute favorite, Atomix we had to try it. For the price point, $75 for a 5 course tasting menu, it’s worth every penny! Highly recommend it!

It comes as little surprise that Atoboy, the younger and more casual sister to Atomix, is absolutely sensational. We visited as a group of four, which worked out perfectly for the prix-fixe menu since it allowed us to try every single thing offered.
Every dish was strong and incredibly unique, but despite all the beautiful fish and meat we had, it was surprisingly the butternut squash that stole the show. The easiest way to describe the food is fine dining for a casual crowd; everything is “sophisticated” in the sense that it has real depth and complexity, which we absolutely loved.
The environment is minimalist and trendy, and the service hits that perfect balance assertive and friendly without being “down your throat.”
Atoboy is definitely a restaurant for foodies. That said, consider this a heads-up: this is not the place for a picky or fussy eater. But if you’re looking for an adventurous and unique meal, this place absolutely hits!

We LOVED all but two dishes. The fried chicken, the Uni, the shrimp in particular were absolutely fantastic.

However, the ice cream was foul. It tasted like corroded metal and needs to be removed from the menu.

Still giving this place five stars because the highs were very high

This is a decent 4 Star Pl. my issue really was portion size. Everything was very expensive. It felt like and you get tiny plates. I remember liking everything I had. I were thinking the environment is cute. They even of this thing where they had a wine maker in the building will come over and talk to you about wine which I can see how people would love however I don’t love talking about wine so I’m not there person for them and I also wish there was hard liquor

To be honest, I really don’t have much to say about this restaurant because it’s been pretty forgettable in the restaurants that I’ve had in New York City

The most memorable part about this place for me was it was a birthday dinner which I love my friends for taking me thank you but it’s also similarly named to a bar called attaboy. So one of the people in my group went to the wrong place when coming to this restaurant, which is funny but doesn’t really have anything to do with the restaurant.

First time here, I came with excitement and high expectations. The service was great, the drinks were great, and the food was good (though personally not amazing).

However, there were some issues with the bill. Items that were supposed to be on the house were charged on the first check, and on the second check one item was priced higher than what was listed on the menu.

We ended up needing a third check, which was a bit disappointing, and the dining experience kind of went downhill during that process.

So… will i visit again?.. honestly I don’t know, probably not at the moment.

I think I would prefer going to Moono, C as in Charlie or other similar restaurants
