Don’t judge a book by its cover. I was really looking forward to dining here upon seeing the menu online after booking an evening stay at The Roslyn Hotel. The dining room had a nice ambiance, but without question this was a major disappointment! Ordered the warm marinated olives to start (some were warm, some were room temperature and some were ice cold), along with the shrimp cocktail that was essentially 4 extra large shrimp in a bowl of ice, one lemon wedge and a small portion of cocktail sauce for $25. My entree was the Za’atar rack of lamb for $68 – requested medium but came out rare bordering on blue (had to be sent back). I expected better for $68, and dessert was a pistachio tartufo that was stale, full of mold and disgusting. Like it was sitting in the kitchen for at least a decade. Inedible. The restaurant was empty, however the restaurant staff kept themselves busy rarely checking-in except when needed and ensuring we were out of the restaurant by closing time at 9pm.
