After dining in Key West for 5 days in hotels and restaurants this was the best place to eat. The service is actually nice, they have meaningful conversations with you instead of BS you get elsewhere. You feel welcomed, the interior is upscale, food representation is beyond descent, they have thought of every detail. They do not rush you while you eat, the music is on a good level and the sound system is descent and not annoying. Very clean place overall. Their drinks are descent and very delicious. Great balance of Alcohol woth any mixes. The food is very very delicious. When I come back to Key West I will definitely come back here. If you are a good quality food person you should come here. Dont be deceived by how this place looks from outside. Come here and enjoy everything.

One of the greatest dining experiences of my life. Nothing disappointed. Atlas Izakaya elevates and redefines sushi, not into something abstract or sushi-adjacent, but rather raises the bar so as to ruin all other sushi dining experiences. I cannot recall a better sushi dinner ever in my life anywhere on the planet. It is the new gold standard for sushi. I ate there two nights in a row, just to be sure it was as good as it was. It’s brilliant. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets at least one Michelin Star. Ignore the low reviews. I’m going to assume they wanted ketchup and were upset they couldn’t get it or got their feeling hurt about not being treated well enough to suit their fragile egos. Atlas Izakaya is what happens when passionate people choose craft and quality over cost and quantity. More meals should be this good. I have paid more for meals in the past and received much, much less.
You can buy the kitchen a round for $20 and I suggest you do. They earned it.

What a hidden gem!! I have been to Key West 17 times and this was my first time here – but we came back again on the same 5 night trip which tells you how good it was!! Amy was our server and really spent the time to explain different menu items to us and just gave fantastic service. The food was NEXT LEVEL. Truly some of the best I’ve had in Key West and it’s a totally foodie town. Don’t miss the crispy rice, bao buns, and yakatori. We just got back from Japan a few months ago and this food was up there with all the authentic food we had and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend checking out!!

What a surprise to find an izakaya in Key West! The atmosphere is a bit different but the dishes were spot on. Seriously – so much attention paid to the little details – these are authentic izakaya style dishes. Soooo good. Aside from the dishes they have a tremendous sake list – and a matcha IPA beer from Japan that was shockingly good.

Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Everything was cooked/prepared to perfection and was very flavorful and had great combinations of textures. There are lots of delicious options whether you are looking for red meat, seafood, vegetables, etc. Would highly recommend.

I didn’t expect to find a fine little Izakaya at Key West, but there it was.
Izakaya in Japan serves liquor and little trays of delicious morsels of side dishes. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was delighted to find a couple of real wasabi roots resting among maguro and hamachi displayed on the refrigerated shelf.
I started with a dish of hamachi sashimi, and they did not disappoint! Fresh Hamachi was artistically served with dab of grated wasabi, shredded carrots, and cucumber – outstanding!
I proceeded to have many of the usual suspects typically served at Japanese Izakaya (chicken yakitori, gyoza, etc.), but I particularly enjoyed “Catch of the Day” yakitori, which for that day, was fresh snapper on the skewer.
I was born and grew up in Japan before immigrating to the states, and Atlas Izakaya’s offerings are very old school and true to the Izakaya concept.

We stumbled upon this place while visiting Old Town in Key West. It’s chill and nice inside , servers are very friendly and very decent food as well.
The Wahoo Ceviche was refreshing, the Chicken Hearts yakitori very tender and delicious. Nice miso creamy flavor on the Maitake Mushroom, and Okinomiyaki (pancake) was really tasty.
We also got the Wahoo Maki, and Tuna cucumber with Serrano Pepper Maki.
This joint definitely exceed our expectation, I will recommend to give it a try!

We had a delightful dinner date here! The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet. The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the crispy rice with tuna—absolutely outstanding! The ramen, served with chicken thighs, was incredibly flavorful and delicious, was on the spicy side. However, the king lobster taco was just okay and not something we would order again. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. Thank you!

Amazing food, we could not get enough. We ordered about 15 different things and 4 different drinks and nothing was bad. The plate sizes are smaller shareable. Would recommend to anyone.
Plate sizes are geared towards groups of 3. Even four people may be pushing it with portion size.

A fantastic dinner at a small local business that is run by two amazing people. Our favorites include the tuna cones, the salmon crispy rice, the bbq eel, and the octopus skewers! Thanks! Keep up the great work.
