Great service, great food. Cold and tasty root beer. This is now my go-to cheesesteak in the area. Order ahead if you want takeout, otherwise you can enjoy your meal in one of the whimsical booths (you might sink in a little).
I also like that they offer a Lil Bite, which is just the right size if you’re not looking to feel absolutely stuffed.
The only knock is they seem to always be out of regular fries and other appetizer items. The curly fries can be hit or miss…but a half sandwich should be more than enough on its own.

I had an amazing meal at Atlantic City Sub Shops! Their chicken parm sub and curly fries were incredible, and the nostalgic Atlantic City Boardwalk decor and old-fashioned rolling chair booths truly set the scene for a memorable experience. Loved their root beer. Can’t wait to come back for a cheesesteak soon.

I cannot speak to atmosphere because my best friend and I didn’t dine in. We did not receive the extra utensils we asked for and wasn’t enough of the salt and pepper packets. By the time we received our order, most of the food that should have been hot was cold. We ordered mozzarella sticks, sweet potatoes fries, and the portobello wrap. There was also a small bite order of the ham sub. My best friend said that the bun was somewhat too hard and there was an uneven distribution of toppings. Perhaps we would have had a better experience if we dined in, but we were both exhausted from the event we attended the day prior.

The food here was amazing! I got the Meatball Deluxe and it was one of the best subs I’ve had — the bread quality was top-notch and everything tasted super fresh. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Atlantic City!

Let me start by saying that while here in South Jersey you can’t swing a cat without hitting a sub shop we chose Atlantic City Sub Shop from those with similar ratings because the owner replies to every review and that tells a lot about how much they care about their business. Now to the food … we both ordered cheese steak hoagies and they were excellent. The bread was the crusty bread with great chew that the best South Jersey shops use. Plenty of meat and not too much juice running out of the roll. A “half” is about 10inches and plenty for either of us. They have a wide array of hot and cold subs. They all begin at a price well below many other places. Lettuce, tomato, peppers and raw or cooked onions are included. You have lots of other extras you can add but you will pay extra for them. You order at the counter and a waitress brings the food to your table. Our waitress was very very nice! They do take out as well. Now to the reasons I’m only giving a 4star today. First we ordered onion rings but got curly fries … now the fries were yum but we didn’t get to taste the rings. Also, the frowny grumpy cook in the open kitchen didn’t make me feel like I was going to enjoy my lunch as much as I did. Be SURE I’m coming back.
