I went for the beef patties and also came home with a jerk chicken meal with sides of yams, mac and cheese and cabbage, along with wo beef patties. Everything was so good. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the owner is so genuine. She came out and greeted everyone. I highly recommend you try them out.

What a Gem! Located on Beecher Road near McLaren hospital the location is spot on to serve the community. The vibe inside was nice with rich island music and what looked and smelled to be authentic Jamaican cuisine. The staff was friendly and helpful with making my selection.
After being away from my NYC home for more than a decade I’ve been craving me some beef patty with cheese but always seemed to pass this convenient spot on Sunday when they are closed.
This was the day though when I saw they had the beef patty on the menu sans cheese but nonetheless sounded enticing. After a brief rundown of the menu an entree of oxtails with sweet potatoes and mac & cheese was being prepared.
My takeout order didn’t take long and I enjoyed the decor and music while I sipped on an orange sof drink. The owner greeted everyone kindly and shared a little background about the restaurant and its inception with me telling me they’ve only been in business a year.

Let’s start with the nice location that’s easy to get to, in and out of and easy to locate. When you walk in you are greeted with wonderful Jamaican music and colorful walls and atmosphere. We were then met by the owner of the place who was so friendly and bubbly that you felt like you just walked into a family members home for a holiday meal. The picture of what I had is on here of the Jerk Chicken White Meat dinner. The red beans and rice are nice and “dirty” in the most delicious way. The mac and cheese is nice and cheesy, creamy, and wonderful. I had the cabbage with mine and was happy to see that it also had peppers and onions I believe with it and was nice and tender. Now on to the stars of the show. Best chicken in the Flint area hands down. Moist, tender, seasoned well and the jerk sauce on the side is the perfect level of spice and heat. This place is a surefire win if you are hungry. The price may look high, but the 20$ for what feels like 5 lbs of food was well worth it. 10/10 will return often. Please give this place a shot!

The owner Angela is super nice and enthusiastic. The food is made fresh and tastes amazing. The food portions are abundant. The restaurant has a clean, simple, quiet colorful Caribbean vibe which I like, being myself from the Caribbean. You can call ahead to have the food ready to eat in. Will visit again for sure.

Can I just say first the customer service is Top Notch always smiles and greetings from the owner. 2nd the food- when you first walk in the door the spices hits your olfactory and draws in. But the amount of food on top of how flavorful it is amazing superb dining experience. My go to for authentic delicious food. I got the jersey chicken dinner and the curry goat.

BEST jerk I’ve had in my life. Came back to my hometown to visit and wanted a new food spot to try and my boy recommended this place. Came in ordered the 6 jerk wing dinner with cabbage and left with my dinner but forgot my cabbage. Halfway into eating my food I forgot that I never came back to get my cabbage. Came back hours later and explained to them how I forgot my cabbage and she gave me a new one free of charge and I ordered a jerk taco to go with it. Definitely a 5/5. HIGHLY recommended. Top 3 in Flint for SURE.

Have to be honest, quite disappointed with the food I had from here.
Starting with the positives:
– mac & cheese was pretty good
– yams were spot on
– the beef pattie was good! Really liked the dough and the filling had a little spice
Negatives
– prices …. Prices and portions don’t match up. The sides are so small, ordered a side of cabbage for $6 and honestly, should be $4 at most. Also a ginger beer cost $5?? A soda for $5?? Wild.
– the jerk chicken taco… ok y’all, be for real. This is not good at all. Y’all must be high, starving or just have off taste buds. ( shred the chicken and ditch the lettuce. Also just switch to corn tortillas and make them 3 for $9. )
– this jerk chicken is much different than others I’ve had. Honestly, just do a jerk dry rub or put the sauce on the chicken before serving

Wow, what an experience! The owner is such a sweetheart. She let me and my friend try things before buying! We are seriously picky eaters and loved everything bought a bunch of food and left happy I highly recommend !!

I walked in and was greeted by the owner, she was so kind. The restaurant looks very clean and authentic. My grandmother wanted to try their oxtail because of the advertisements. The owner so kindly brought my grandmother a sample of the oxtail. SHE LOVED IT! We ordered oxtail and it came with a side of rice and beans we also got the choice to pick two sides. All of it was delicious!! We most definitely will be back again.

For 36 dollars the portion of the food was way too small!!!! The oxtails were cooked properly but it had no flavor at all. The rice and beans was under the oxtails in oil basically and the Mac and cheese was bland. If it was seasoned it would’ve been perfect because the oxtails were tender. I couldn’t get a side of curry for my food even though I was going to pay for it. Overall my honest review is 4/10 they did have good customer service and was fast
