An absolutely unforgettable Gujarati thali experience. The moment the food arrived, it honestly felt like I had been transported straight back to my hometown kitchen. Every single dish tasted incredibly authentic, exactly like the kind of food prepared at home by our mothers and grandmothers.
The flavors were perfectly balanced. The dal had that comforting sweetness and warmth, the shaak was rich and traditional, the rotlis were soft and fresh, and every item on the thali carried that genuine homemade touch. Even the small details like the farsan, pickles, and sweets were outstanding and beautifully prepared.
What impressed me the most was how lovingly everything seemed to be made. It did not feel like restaurant food at all. It felt like someone invited you into their home and served you a proper Gujarati meal with pride and care.

I ordered a tiffin from this restaurant. The roti and curry were tasty, but when I looked at the rice, I noticed several white rice grains with yellow stains. Initially, I thought the stains might have come from the dal, so I scooped some rice from the top and dug down to the bottom to check. To my surprise, many of the rice grains themselves had stains.
This made me concerned that the rice might be reused from previously served plates.
There are three main reasons I will not buy or eat food at this restaurant again. I tend to observe small details carefully, and these were my top concerns:
1. Hygiene issues
The staff who clean the tables spray Windex directly on the tables but do not remove the plastic cups before spraying. As a result, cleaning spray droplets can easily land inside the cups.
2. Poor food handling practices
I observed the same gloves being used for multiple tasks—cleaning tables, serving food, and handling the cash register. This is concerning because cash is not hygienic. Currency changes hands frequently and can carry various contaminants.
3. Unethical pricing
When I called the restaurant, I was told the price would be $10. However, when I paid in cash at the restaurant, I was charged $11. While the extra dollar itself is not a big issue, the inconsistency in pricing felt misleading. This incident happened about a year or two ago, but it left a lasting impression.
While I had some good experience but because of these hygiene concerns, the pricing issue and fell sick, I personally will not be returning.

We went on a weekday during lunch. We ordered Kathiyawadi thali, dal tadka, jeera rice and dabeli. The food was delicious. The gentleman who served us was extremely nice and customer service focused. The atmosphere was very quiet. Bhajan was playing during the day time and it was so peaceful.

Atthiya Kathiyawadi is really good it truly feels like home ! Nishantbhai is amazing, and the overall experience here was super friendly. The staff was welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious !
I tried the Kathiyawadi Unlimited Thali ️, and Nishantbhai kept coming again and again to offer more food and make sure we had everything we needed . Every food item tasted so good — authentic flavors and a real homely vibe!

First time trying this place out after reading all of the stellar reviews, and I was not disappointed one bit. Aside from all of the dishes being tasty and appetizing, the service from the server was amazing and the inside ambience was perfect. Even though we went on a Saturday night, the restaurant was empty — probably because of its location and menu selection. I would definitely visit this restaurant again — especially with other vegetarian folks!
