Athens Pizza & Family Restaurant has been in business for over 42 years and family operated since our doors first opened in 1978. All of our pizzas are completely homemade from scratch. We do everything by hand, grind our own cheese, cut our own vegetables, create our own pizza sauce, and make our own dough daily, all with the very finest and freshest ingredients. I come to Athens to get pizzas and sandwiches. The atmosphere inside is very classic pizza place feel with the booths and tables. The service is very quick but can be overloaded by tons of customers at once. Valentines day is like their superbowl so expect many many people if you’re getting heart shaped pizza. Their delivery is really fast and they don’t have hidden delivery fees. The employees are super nice and clearly very organized in their execution of cooking food and serving orders. It looks like a well coordinated group of people.

Ordered lunch at 11:15AM yesterday, you open at 11:00AM. I ordered a small pizza and chicken tenders/fries. I live less than a mile away and was told 45-60 mins. At 1 hour and 10 mins past calling in my order I called again to ask for an update and was told 20 more mins. I called 35 mins after it being 20 mins and asked if the food if I was still there if I could just come and grab it. I spoke to the same person all three times and only after the third phone call did she make it clear that it was due to being short staffed and having one delivery driver. I was why if she was aware of this didn’t she warn me when placing my order that it would take a while. She then said sounds good and hung up on me. Nearly two hours after placing my order the food finally showed up and it was cold. I worked in restaurants for many years so I generally don’t mind waiting a little while longer for food but this was well past what I would consider a reasonable amount of time. I hope the next time I order from here that I get the service I have come to know in the past.

Just moved to Keene and have ordered 2 times. Pizza and subs were just delicious, fresh and hot. It was cooked perfectly so I could hold a slice that doesn’t fold over. Great prices! Our go to place.

Didn’t even place my large order. Guy on the phone was so rude and then when I called back to place my order, I was just left on hold listening to someone cash people out. I’m not sure they know how to handle lunch time and the 3 locals that came in at one time.

Ordered a family size pizza from them, they said it was going to be there between 30-45 mins, didn’t come for over and hour. When I received the pizza it was so squished the toppings were stuck to the top of the box. I proceeded to cal the store and ask for a refund on the pizza, they then said they would send a driver to get the squished pizza and bring it back to the store and remake it. I then told them I have already waited over and hour and didn’t want to make my 5 year old wait any longer that I would eat said pizza I just wanted money back for it. They then told me they would refund me but they would need to come get the pizza. I asked them what I was suppose to feed my child and they replied with you can take 2 pieces out for her and we will be there to come get the pizza. Needless to say how they deal with situations like this is ridiculous. I will NEVER order from this place again. Not to mention my French fries and pizza were both cold.

Pizza is probably my favorite food. I’ve been all over the country and tried pizza everywhere I’ve been. New York and Chicago, sorry Athens is better. This is by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. This is not my first time at Athens, and won’t be my last. I’ve made several trips to NH from my home in PA and some trips have been centered around getting Athens Pizza. My go to pie is the family size pepperoni and mushroom with a side of honey mustard for dipping. The honey mustard was suggested by a local, which sounded weird and kinda gross to me, but it’s delicious IMO. I’ve tried this combo with pizza from other places across the country. It just doesn’t taste right. Athens is the real deal. Best pizza in the country!

So sad the new owners changed all the ingredients and quality. Athens was such a tradition. We gave them multiple chances. The new owners have totally opted for cheaper ingredients and quality. Oh well. Guess I didn’t need that much pizza and chicken parms. So sad

My personal favourite pizza in Keene area. My husband is non vegetarian and I like pineapple, they split the pizza half and half. Very helpful because we can’t finish one whole pizza and I don’t like cold pizza.
