Athens Pizza & Family Restaurant has been in business for over 48 years and family operated since our doors first opened in 1978. All of our pizzas are completely homemade from scratch. We do everything by hand, grind our own cheese, cut our own vegetables, create our own pizza sauce, and make our own dough daily, all with the very finest and freshest ingredients. Along with our friendly staff, we welcome you and your family!

My go to pizza place in Keene. The spaghetti and meatballs are no slouch either. Wait times can get a bit long if you go during peak hours, but thats pretty standard for a popular place downtown. Just call ahead like 30 minutes and pickup and you’ll be fine. Most things are in the 10-15 dollar range for 1 person.

The best food from a pizza joint hands down! It not only tasted good with very fresh produce but it was made neatly. Staff is very professional and friendly, AND the place is clean. This was our second excellent experience and we will definitely come back.

Ordered a salad this week and asked for no onions, my salad had onions. Ordered a sub today and asked for lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Guess what was on my sub? Onions!! I absolutely HATE raw onions. The last four times that our office ordered zucchini sticks, we asked for extra marinara sauce and they came with none. The food is good but it’s disappointing to not get what you pay for.
Well, ordered lunch again today and did not get what I asked for. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. I also asked for blue cheese dressing. Instead, I got a Caesar salad with Caesar dressing. I give up. I guess if you want something, you have to make it yourself.

Spent the weekend in Keene and was so happy with the pizza! Kitchen is busy on the weekends but wait times are kept short! The pizzas will be ready by the time you arrive to pick them up!
Front counter is super friendly and orderly. Can’t wait to try the cheese steaks and chicken parm subs!

Athens consistently makes great food in a city that struggles with constant restaurant turnover and there’s a reason why…….the food is great! Whether it’s a sub or pizza, the food is always fresh and delicious tasting. Every time I visit I always receive a friendly greeting and quick service, even during busy times. Seating inside is a little dated but comfortable. If you happen to visit during good weather there’s outdoor seating as well. There are lots of pizza options in Keene but I personally prefer Athens.

Outstanding old school pizza joint. Food is outstanding. We got the chicken kebab plates and the chicken nuggets. Big portions, incredible value. Everything was fresh and fabulous. Taziki sauce was the best u ever had. Jimmy the owner came to our table to make sure everything was on point. Hard to find good old school pizza/sub/dinners places with multi-generational family ownership anymore. Athens is a gem.

Free parking out front of this nice place for a sandwich, pizza or more. Family atmosphere with clean restrooms and beer and wine available. We enjoyed a pizza and soft drink, free refills available. Pizza is made to order and served hot, by a friendly staff. Dining is inside or outside on a few tables in the parking lot. Prices are competitive and I can recommend this place for casual dining.
