This is my first time to try Greek food. I order gyro platter as recommended by the restaurant owner, who is very nice. The whole dish is very delicious, especially the gyro meat. The portion is generous, and I feel pretty full when I finish the meal. It seems that the restaurant has around 40 years of history. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I stumbled upon this place and so glad I did. A true gem, in Goshen Plaza. Locals are extremely lucky to have this place. I got the chicken breast platter, didnt know what to expect but truly every bite has flavor, completely worth it and completely satisfied. I ordered the lemon potatoes JIC of dissapoinment but everything had so much taste of freshness, zest and flavor I’m obsessed. While waiting I saw so many regulars walk in and I will be joining them as well.

Wickedly Delicious! Every bite of the Zorba Platter is flavorful and expertly prepared. And for those with exotic palates, I highly recommend the chicken liver appetizer served with pita bread and lots of oil for dipping….so good! Next time I will ask for extra yogurt sauce in my platter, because it is the best! See you soon, Athens!

Athens Grill is solid. The gyros, kabobs, and dips are flavorful and generous. The place is casual and clean, and the staff is friendly. Prices are fair for the quality. Easy spot for a quick, tasty meal. I’d go back.

Chicken kabob was fantastic. The gentleman who took my order could not have been any nicer and I believe he even cooked the food himself. Thank you so much!

Good was terrible. Overly priced. French fries were half cooked. I threw the entire meal in the trash. The only good thing was the pita bread. The chicken was tough and had a strange odor.

Long time Montgomery Village Greek Cafe. I moved away 20 years ago and was in the area so went for lunch takeaway. Same chef owner, same great food. You still have to ask what’s available on the day you go. It’s the place to go when you wanna get Greek food in the Montgomery Village, Gaithersburg area.

We got Athens Grill! We had a spanikotpita, beef soulvaulki, and zorba platter, with rice.

The rice was REALLY salty, but the pitas and meats were delicious, all of them. The spanikotpita was okay, the flavor was kind of plain. I felt like it wasn’t really a great value for the money over all, I wish I’d gotten more or bigger meat chunks.

I’d like to try some more of their stuff! I’ll update my review when I head back.

Charging $10 for a side of hummus this size is straight up extortion, not only is this restaurant in an incredibly sketchy area, but they go out of their way to rob you even if you are an honest customer.

At Applebee’s you can get an entire 1/3 pound bacon-cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for ten bucks – charging that same price for fifty-cents of chickpeas thrown in a food-processor is wildly unethical and totally absurd.

I’ve been getting carry-out here for about six years and telling everyone who visits about your Greek food, but never again it’s not worth the trouble – and not worth being gouged.

Whatever you do, don’t come to this restaurant, there are lots of other Greek restaurants closer to 270 that have quality Mediterranean food and don’t extort their customers.

So below the owner claims to be charging “market price” for chickpeas – this is manipulative nonsense. Chickpeas don’t have a market price, they’re an abundant crop grown basically everywhere on earth – not a lobster, there aren’t any fluctuations in the price of chickpeas like there are with premium ingredients.

At Target, which charges more than a wholesale restaurant store, an entire pound is less than a buck.

The serving I was given didn’t have close to pound of chickpeas in it, the owner of this establishment must think his customers are too stupid to know that hummus is just chickpeas, some olive oil, and a bit of tahini and garlic, maybe some lemon to taste.

Everything is put in a food-processor, it’s not ground-down in a mortar and pestle like a freaking mole with 30 ingredients that takes 12 hours.

Given your reaction, I’d guess none of your meats are made from scratch, you’re just opening bags from Sysco and then scalping customers who don’t know any better.
