Really cool, no nonsense Greek diner in a 1950s-built room with a fabulous view of Mt. Mansfield. This place seems to have more of a local vibe, which us tourists enjoyed. The service was excellent, we didn’t feel rushed to leave at all. Our waitress was very sweet. The food was really good; I got the chicken Philly cheese steak (“the best in Colchester”) and she got the Little Athenian breakfast. The muffin was delicious and the pancake was fluffy and rich; coffee was strong and delicious. We would most likely come back here.

Food was great. I ordered a little bit of everything and was not disappointed. My sever Megan was kind and patient. She knew the menu and gave great recommendations. If you ever find your self in Colchester Vermont, stop in and grab a bite to eat.

Vermont diners are their own special breed. The food was a bit over cooked but I do prefer that over the opposite. Service and atmosphere were great though! I judge a place on its French toast and it was okay here.

I’m a bit of a sucker for this sort of classic Americana, and I’ve always loved diners so the inside atmosphere and decor are top notch.
The prices are fairly reasonable especially considering the area.
I was recommended the Lamb Gyro, and it proved to be an excellent choice. I’ve never cared much for lamb personally but the lamb at Athens was superb. The fries included were very classic and my side order of Spanikopita was possibly the best I’ve had to date. For now I’m giving it 4 stars as I’d like to return and sample more of it’s menu offerings before feeling safe in a 5 star rating. I’d highly recommend coming here for breakfast or lunch.

Long waits with the ongoing drumbeat of “we are short of staff”. Waited 50+ mins for a table (told the wait would be 30 min). Another 30 min for food to be served. Server was great/attentive. Food was good once it showed up. We won’t rush back.

The reviews on this place did not disappoint. Our service was good and the food was delicious. I got the meat skillet and my wife got the vermonter corned beef hash skillet. Mine was excellent and my wife enjoyed hers as well. It’s not a super big place and got busy quick but there was no wait to get in when we arrived. Definitely stop to check this place out.

This is my concept of an old school diner. I had the homemade sausage and gravy. The white sauce was thick and creamy. The biscuit was not dry but not flakey. This came with cubed home fries. The home fried well seasoned. I washed this down with a small cranberry juice. My parents had poached eggs on white toast. My dad ordered a side of bacon. The toast appeared grilled.

Food and staff are awesome. I live locally and will support this restaurant through the crazy cloverleaf road construction in front of the restaurant. May gain some weight doing so, but they and other establishments near the construction need community support.

Thursday mid morning and that place was BUSY and there was always a line. Wait wasn’t too long though. Diner is small and a little tight, not many tables. We sat at the counter, which wasn’t bad. Unimpressive and unpretentious from the outside as well as inside but their food is really GOOD and their service is great! Prices are decent. We were told that the best time to go (not busy at all) is when they open at 6am. We highly recommend it and will be going back!
