My in-laws have been eating here for decades. This restaurant is a neighborhood institution. The food is always good and the portions are big. We almost always have leftovers to take home. My favorites are the Greek salad and the chicken shish kebab. Oh and the baklava is the best!

I’m Italian. I can’t speak to the ethnic authenticity of the food served at Athenian, but I know good food and this place has consistently great food and service.
Helpful and friendly staff. Always busy, but rarely a wait for a booth. Reminds me of the diners I grew up with in NJ. Laid back, simple, good food. Nothing fancy or pretentious.
My wife and I often stop here when we are out shopping and want something quick and tasty and reasonably priced. Food fast, not fast food.
Our quick go-to is bowls of Lemon Rice soup, and shared Sag anaki. OPA! If we are looking for something more substantial we will often order their Pasta Athenia. Spaghetti tossed with Feta and chunks of grilled chicken. Delicious and generous enough for sharing, or for taking home leftovers.

Very friendly staff. Food cooked to order; and always good. Always served hot as soon as prepared (doesn’t sit unattended under a warming light). Breakfast is pretty generic but Greek variations are available. Food fairly priced. Waitstaff is very responsive.

One of my favorite spots locally. Food is delicious and all kinds of good options on the menu. Really enjoyed the Greek salad and the soups are great as well. Bigger inside then it looks. Lots of open seating.

The only Gyro in the area. Ordered Gyro & fries. Great Fries, hot & well cooked. Gyro was a little dry IMO, but great flavor. A very fresh pita. But almost $17, makes it not affordable. About 2 years ago it went up to 9, now another increase for the same items. I won’t be there anytime soon. Sorry.

Fast food. Went in Friday 4pm. In and out in 35 minutes. With a toddler, that is top notch! Food was good. Portions are HUGE!
