This was out first time going to Athena. The food was fresh and tasty. We had the lunch Athena Sampler, an appetizer of rolled grape leaves and baklava for dessert. We would definitely go back. if you are looking for something different, this is your place.

Conveniently located, this elegant fusion of Greek and Lebanese cuisine is a culinary gem worth discovering.
The menu boasts an array of tantalizing dishes, but the chicken shawarma steals the spotlight with its perfectly seasoned meat, tender and juicy, wrapped in soft pita bread and accompanied by a generous serving of expertly seasoned rice and creamy hummus. Add a side of creamy Grecian dip and stuffed grape leaves for a flavor explosion. Each bite is a delightful melody of flavors that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy.
For dessert, indulge in the heavenly baklava, layers of flaky pastry filled with nuts and honey, delicately sweet and irresistibly satisfying. You won’t want to share, so order two. Paired with a glass of floral Lebanese tea, it’s the perfect way to end your meal on a high note, leaving you feeling content and fulfilled.
Service is impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need is met with a smile. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or that special someone, this restaurant provides an unforgettable experience that will keep you coming back for more.

Haven’t been in years. I have clearer memories of the old location, much better atmosphere then. Wasn’t cramped.
Service was passible.
Food was dry and almost cold.
Medium rare lamb was medium and dry.
Will not be going back when I am in town.

This was absolute garbage.
I paid over $40 for a meat platter, and what I got was straight-up trash.
• The gyro meat was dry, rubbery, greasy, and had a spoiled smell
• The lamb kabobs were burnt, chewy, and full of fat
• The chicken shawarma looked like scraps and tasted like nothing
Everything looked disgusting, tasted worse, and smelled like it had been sitting for hours.
For $40, this is a joke.
Never again. This place should be ashamed of the food they serve.

Really good food. It’s a bit underwhelming for authentic Greek food, but it’s still quite good. I had the Gyro plate, and my niece had the Schwarma plate. The chicken was really dry but had a great flavor. The star was the falafel app.

We arrived before our movie date around 2pm during the week. We love to try new things together especially food. Had to try some appetizers so we ordered falafel plus the server gave us a sample of the baba ganoush since it had an acquired taste both came with a large side of pita. He got the shwarma/gyro combo plate and I got the gyro plate. Everything was delicious plus came with a delicious salad (I need the dressing recipe asap) plus hummus with pita. If you love floral drinks they have a tea with rose water that was awesome as well. The portions weren’t huge but we left beyond full! Definitely give them a try

Lunch at Athena is truly special. My starving soul ordered a hummus app on top of the Athena Special (number 4, I think). Halfway through my (free) pita, this turkey-platter sized plate arrives with an epic salad, hunks of perfectly seasoned beef and rice, and MORE HUMMUS!!!! I mentioned it to my friends and they have convinced me to return for the lamb. Cheers!

Everything we ordered was awesome. My wife had the filet mignon, and I had the Greek ribeye. I can’t remember what the appetizer was called, but it was really good. The service was also great.

Our dinner and service was phenomenal. I had the vegetarian plate, he had the 3 lamb shanks plate, and the babaganouch. We were the only ones in there tonight since it was an hour til closing but we had such a wonderful experience! Sad that they are no longer in the bigger building on 18th street, but I’m glad they did relocate and reopen.

Not sure what happened. The A/C wasn’t noticeable. Service was slow, inefficient, and spotty as it took about 90 (!) minutes from ordering to being served. While the dishes were tasty, all were cold, and the salad very soggie. I’ve had the pleasure of eating here before, but this was subpar compared to previous times.
