Friendly staff and modern design inside. Menu is full diner with endless choices. Went for chicken parm sandwich with jalapeños and grilled onions. Heaven on a bun, though the bread was outmatched by the generous parm. Great crisp on the fries. Convenient off I-91.

I really wanted to like the food because the atmosphere and Jessica, the server, was fantastic. I ordered the fisherman’s platter with sweet potato fries and pickled beets. Scallops were overcooked. I don’t know if it was the batter but the fish seemed tough but the batter, soft. Shrimp was good but cocktail sauce tasted ‘off’ but maybe it was homemade and I’m used to a jar. Jessica was extremely nice and fast. Side salad was good.

I love the turkey, sweet potato, mashed potatoes supper, and the meatloaf is the best I ever ate!!!! A+/Superlative service too! A special shout out of excellence to Ariana, Liz, Jay for their excellence at customer dedication!! I’ve always got great service from anyone that took care of me. And the food has been fabulous no matter what I ordered.

I came here with my family for lunch and the reason why I’m giving this place a one star is because the food was not good at all. The food was over cooked and had no flavor, the mashed potatoes were cold and the gravy looked old. The carrots were served with pineapple which was a weird combination. The cauliflower was again bland and had no taste to it which was smothered with cheese. We will not be returning, the steak was not cooked right we ordered it medium rare and it came well done. The meat again tasted weird something didn’t taste right at all.

My mom and I stopped in for breakfast around 11 on a Saturday morning. They were busy but were able to seat us, and we couldn’t believe we were in and out in 45 minutes – it was great! Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and I also have to say this is one of the cleanest diners we’ve ever been to. Even the windows were sparkling! The strawberry shortcake pancakes were great, and usually I have difficulty finishing a stack of 3, but these were nice and light. My mom liked her eggs benny and hash browns, and the bacon was crispy and had a nice smoky flavor. A solid choice for breakfast on Washington Ave! We’ll have to come back and try them for lunch/dinner.

The food was good. Unfortunately we felt our waitress was not very attentive. We finished our food and waited a while (well over 15 minutes) for the waitress . She would help one take then walk away not asking any other table if they need anything or how everything was. When she finally came back we asked for the check and a to go box, she left. Got our check then said she would get us a to go box. Another employee we already asked came to us with the box. Other waitresses were very attentive helping their guests.

Great food. Large portions. Great service – even when it was crazy busy. Food came quick, it was hot and delicious. Water and coffee were refilled quickly. She even brought me a small carafe of hot water to refill my tea at my convenience.

Terrific food and service! Our server was on top of everything for all four of us. Lots of gluten free options, but alas, the fries aren’t in a dedicated fryer, however, they looked like really good fries and others agreed. I normally opt for Greek food at this kind of diner, but I had a great roast beef club on gf bread that wasn’t skimpy on the beef or bacon. Very reasonable prices and prompt service. Also very clean, well lit, and plenty of room for a bigger group. We would definitely choose this again when we’re in the area so I can try some of the Greek dishes!

I have been going to Athena Diner II for almost 20 years. They have a fantastically clean facility and a great family atmosphere! I especially love their Spanakopita and their salads are so fresh! I highly recommend Athena Diner II!

“Chicken” rice soup??? Would be nice to have some chicken!!!! In the CHICKEN rice soup. Honestly, so DUN with our “neighborhood ” restaurants cheating us out of food. I know its expensive to run a restaurant these days….I don’t complain about the prices bc I try and be understanding…..For the love of something greater, BE FAIR WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!
