My husband and I came into town visiting family and stumbled across this restaurant. Service was great, sushi was delicious and decently priced, my husband got the black rock grill NY strip not expecting to do it yourself! It was an awesome surprise and he loved it! The cut of meat was great and he will always remember our random stumble at Atami.

The service was great. Food came out quick, the place wasn’t very busy. I was expecting a sit in front of the grill hibachi experience, and that wasn’t a thing here, I probably could’ve done a little more to check before showing up… but I stayed anyway. The meal was fine. I had the chicken and steak hibachi, and it was what I expected it to be. However, the sushi was less than expected. The seaweed used was very tough. I can’t say I am even used to noticing the seaweed at all on most sushi. And they were on the tiny side. All in all the meal was alright. If I hadn’t ordered the sushi, I would’ve left a little bit less disappointed, but for what I received, I feel it was a bit overpriced.

Our regular Sushi place was closed for Easter so we tried Atami. Not to bad. I got sushi and my husband got hibachi. They have a wide variety of choices. Including a children’s menu if you have little ones. Alcohol selection is pretty good cast too.

The 1st time I ordered take out it was good. The next time I got this (see image). This is unacceptable to serve someone, especially someone PAYING for your food. After the 3rd time I ordered take out and not once was the server kind or respectful, I’m done. I will spend my money at China Garden across the street where the food is good and the owners and staff are kind and attentive. One other thing, Atami staples their bags closed so you have to go through ripping open the paper bags to actually check your food/condition. I think they prefer you don’t. Shady.

Great sushi, great food. VERY clean restaurant. Honestly we lived near this place for years. They have wonderful hibachi, steak, sushi, etc. and we never knew it until last night. Highly recommended. I will surely be referring people here.
