Family–owned breakfast joint featuring jumbo pancakes with various toppings & standard diner fare.

We had a great breakfast experience overall. The waffles were hands down better than the pancakes, but the pancakes were massive — you definitely get your money’s worth. The eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly, and the fruit was excellent. Honestly, some of the best strawberries and bananas I’ve had at a restaurant. The toast was also amazing.
The orange juice tasted fresh, and the large size is actually large, so again, you get what you pay for. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
Our server wasn’t the most pleasant and came off a bit cold, but despite that, the food alone makes this place worth going back to. We paid about $67, but for the amount of food, the fresh taste, and the calm environment, it felt worth the price.

This is a cute restaurant with very nice customer service. The astronomical pancakes are HUGE! They are filling and good but I definitely couldn’t finish. The bacon and grits were delish. The grits were creamy and different but delicious. The home fries weren’t good because they’re basically baked fries. No onions or green peppers with them and they were cut like french fries versus home fries which are cut up small and pan fried with onions and green peppers. My husband had the Hungry Man breakfast and he enjoyed it and finished it all. Lastly just for the 2 of us, it was $64 for breakfast! Ca-Razy. We won’t be going back but thankful for the nice visit.

The pancakes were huge and delicious, but the service was terrible. The waitress was incredibly rude. She ignored us when we called her and made us take the plates from her hands instead of setting them on the table. She didn’t place a single item down herself. The food was good, but the poor service ruined the entire experience.

We had a great breakfast at Astronomical Pancake House. The atmosphere is nice, pretty decor, loads of seating and very casual. Our breakfast was really good, eggs perfectly cooked. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. We will definitely eat here again.

Place gives old-age vibes, which you want in this area. Coffee is fine, regular coffee shop taste (folgers lol). Prices threw me off though, one waffle no sides $12. Coffee is $3.50 with no flavored creamer, but is endless. Service was great! We paid $35 for one French toast and one waffle, two Coffees, no sides.
Prices were high for not getting a lot. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and never let the coffee or water empty!

Awesome ‘mom and pop’ feeling. Chasity was our veteran server who was so detailed and awesome overall. The wait on a Sunday was about 30 minutes, but was well worth it. My child had the pancakes… caution: they are HUGE!

We like this place but today was a little off. When we were seated, our waiter got lost for like 15 to 20 minutes and we finally had to ask for someone to find him. Then another 10 minutes go by and we get a new waitress to help. So 30+ minutes to have our order taken. The food was just OK today, but has been better in the past.
Then when checking out, I had a 15% off coupon which apparently wasn’t applied when I checked the receipt after leaving. Not sure what happened today but this was a bad experience.

We came and decided to order some savory options and several pancake options. The pancakes were huge and tasted great! They’re definitely on the sweeter side, so if you’re a big sweets person, you’ll love these. For more of a savory option, the standard two eggs, home fries, and toast was just ok (scrambled eggs were a bit watery and bland), but the sausage omelette was far better in terms of quality on the egg and meat. Our waiter was also super patient, kind, and always around to help. Overall a great experience and would definitely return!

The pancakes here definitely live up to the “astronomical” name in terms of size, but not so much in flavor. I found them to be pretty basic—plain and not very fluffy. On my second visit with family, I skipped the pancakes and stuck with the sausage and eggs, which were actually pretty good.
The highlight of the experience was definitely the service. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of both times we visited.
Overall, I’m not rushing to return, but if my family wants to go back, I’ll pass on the pancakes and try something else from the menu like the omelets or the entrée sides, which seem more promising.
