That being said, the food and service were both wonderful. I personally would recommend trying a few of their smaller dishes such as the crudo, beets, and butternut squash along with a main. The white oyster mushroom pie has this incredibly unique flavor. Easily one of my favorite white pies I have had ever. The pistachio butter on the mortadella sandwich reminded me of being in Bologna. It’s hard to find around here and definitely worth a try! Even though it was a very busy Friday during their first two weeks of business the food came out fast and fresh. I’m excited for the future of this place considering how tasty their dishes are!
Our server Christina took great care of us and walked us through the menu to help us out.
Daniel the manager checked in on us and is doing a great job running everything.
We had the arugula (our favorite), the pasta, and the Newport steak. Everything was delicious! It is nice to have this new Gem here in downtown Buda.
We will be back and highly recommend it.
The complementary valet parking is a wonderful touch, it was drizzling and I really appreciated not having to walk in the rain.
The tables inside were close together, Im not sure if this was due to the rain/holiday and they were trying to get as many tables inside as possible or the usual set up. We sat at the bar facing the kitchen, which are definitely the best seats. Highly recommend sitting here.
You order via QR codes which corresponds to your table/bar number. The servers got tables mixed up (bar 11 vs table 11) but food got to the right place in the end, more stress for staff then for us.
We tried a variety of dishes, the beef carpaccio, the broccoli, the Denver steak and the mortadella and mozzarella sandwich. I saw the portion size of the half chicken and porkchop and thought the steak would be big enough for 2 people to share but the portion was about 6oz. It was delicious, the sauce is outstanding. The beef carpaccio had a lovely crunch from the fried capers and sourdough croutons, the broccoli was delicious. The sandwich was our favorite, the pistachio butter was superb and the mortadella was buttery.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had servers stop by to check if we needed anything multiple times.
We’ll be back to try the pizza!
I wish I ordered a pizza, they looked amazing. I heard they were connected with a butcher shop, so I figured id be safe with a steak. The waiter tried to give us a clue by mentioning it isnt your usual cut of meat, I had no idea what that meant. He looked embarrassed, but stupidly I ignored the hint.
We both had steak and it was the worst cut of meat, incredibly chewy. Luckily I had the 2 pieces of Broccoli that I had paid $15 to help fill me up!
The QR codes didn’t work, it was too dark and not once were we offered a refill of drinks or water.
It was awful. I wish we had the experience that everyone else are saying they had.
Definitely going back again!
