Absolute gem of a wings place. It’s all home made including the ranch and blue cheese. The wings were huge and full of flavor. The fries were perfect with huge portion! The walls are covered in kids art and we joined in by drawing from memory some Pokémon’s. The owners are so nice for letting us use their crayons!

Astin J’s in Groton is a truly mixed bag—the quality of the food is top-tier, but the wait time is a major hurdle.
We placed an order that included the Philly Cheesesteak, the Double Burger, and a 10-piece order of the Mango Habanero Wings. I have to say, the food was absolutely phenomenal. The Philly was perfectly savory, the burger was juicy and cooked just right, and those mango habanero wings were the star of the show. The kitchen staff clearly knows what they are doing!
However, the experience was severely hampered by the abysmal wait time. We waited a full 45 minutes for our order. For a simple takeout/fast-casual order, that kind of delay is unacceptable and drastically impacts the overall rating.
If you are not in a rush, and your time budget is flexible, the food is worth every penny and every minute of the wait. If you are looking for a quick meal, you should look elsewhere. The kitchen deserves five stars, but the service speed brings the overall rating down to four.

Absolutely Fantastic Burger Spot!
This place is a must-try! The burger was absolutely delicious—seriously one of the best I’ve had. It tasted incredibly fresh and was perfectly seasoned with a great flavor.
Beyond the food, the entire restaurant was spotlessly clean, which I really appreciate. And the service was just as great; the guy who helped us was excellent—super attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend this burger joint! You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot believe ive worked less than 2 miles from this place and ive never even heard of it! My friend who i meet up with for lunch frequently suggested dining here. My goodness, the food was out of this world! I had a smashburger with old bay seasoned tots. What great flavor ideas! 1st off, the special burger sauce you get on the burgers is so very tasty. Old bay seasoned tots??? Ever heard of that?? Try em! I now know that there’s a way to perfectly cook tots and the chef at astin Js does it to perfection. Pretty sure everything is made in house and it shows. The menu here is not large. I like a small honed menu anyway. People… please , please eat here and give them the business they deserve. I want to see Astin Js become a long time staple here in groton for years to come. Needless to say, ill be back for lunch frequently!

I am in town for a business trip and found this restaurant was right up the street from my hotel and decided to visit for dinner. I arrived around 4:30 and was seated right away.
This place is busy! Not only that, but busy with a lot of regulars as the hostess/server Melinda darn knew everyone placing an order by name and was having conversations with everyone. Mind you she was seating people, chatting with customers, running the food from the kitchen, taking phone orders and processing payments, all by herself. I complimented her on her customer service skills and attention to detail, something rarely seen these days, especially in food service. She’s a keeper for this restaurant as far as I am concerned.
I am a sucker for wings, so I got their Buffalo hot and a side of fries. The food was awesome and I am very pleased with the meal. The table next to me got their hamburgers and birria tacos which I now feel obligated to go back and try for myself since it all looked so good as well!
Between the food and service, I can see why they continue to receive so much repeat business and great reviews. I’ll certainly be going back again!

I absolutely adore this place. I’m a local and our family usually hits them up at least twice a month. It’s a comfort food spot and it always hits just right. The staff is super friendly. Anytime I’ve had to wait at pick up they’ve been so kind, and their chicken tacos are probably the most delicious tacos I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’m so glad to see how popular they’ve become. You all deserve it. Keep up the good work! The community adores you!

We visited on Tuesday, Nov 25 at approximately 1 pm. Service was fantastic!! Young female wasn’t at all bothered by me changing my mind while ordering; just has pleasant and helpful as could be. Burgers were perfect – made exactly as requested, and generous amount of fries were served piping hot.
Kudos to all the staff for a great lunch. Will return next time I’m in town and definitely recommend locals visit often.

Great food for the price. Love the a la carte style menu. I came for the tacos but they were already sold out. We had a double burger that was massive. The patties were thick, juicy, and well-seasoned. The Mac n cheese was yummy, loved the caramelized crispy cheese bits in it. The spicy garlic parmesan wings were decent, crispy. The fajitas were just okay. I’d go here again. All our food, with drinks, only cost about $28.

The FOOD HERE IS AMAZING! I go here at least twice a week! The tenders, to die for! The burgers are huge and super flavorful! The tacos amazing! That new pork chop sandwich…. I don’t have words for how good it is! Their fry’s and tots, always cooked to perfection and you can get them in so many different ways! The wings have so crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside! All of their sauce flavors are amazing! Their spicy garlic parm is my personal favorite! You can also get their queso (which is insanely good) on the frys and or tots! The people who work there are amazing! They are so welcoming and kind! If you love supporting those who have served our country, this is the perfect place! Almost all of the people who work here are retired military! You seriously need to just go and try their food I promise you won’t be let down!
