We dined here for the first time February 28 and the best way I can describe it is “hidden gem.”. It’s not really visible from Hwy 70 although we’ve passed it often while out and about. The food and service were all top-notch and the bar served great cocktails. I highly recommend Assaggio’s!

Everything was clean, the food was delicious and plentiful for price point. Server was incredible, accepted pronouns correct and stayed with it it the entire time so no hostility torwards lgbtqia+, especially the woman that served us. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious and we bought home for lunch. Nice date night for Under 100 and left stuffed.

When I go to Raleigh, I see this restaurant from the light on the left. Otherwise, I forget because it’s not typically in sight, therefore it’s been on my mind to try for years. It hit my brain when we were in that specific area for an event. Entrée’s come with 2 garlic knots and a salad. Garlic knots were delicious. The Ceasar salad was good too but not typical. It wasn’t tossed with dressing like normal, it was drizzled on and you mix it. The homemade lasagna was second to mine… it was AMAZING and enough for 2 if you wanted to split. We also got the Gnocchi which was also delicious. I considered adding grilled chicken or sausage but didn’t because we also had lasagna. If it had been my only Entree and we weren’t sharing I would have added meat for protein. The best part is that everything was very cheesy which made me extremely happy since I LOVE cheese. We were too full for dessert. They do close earlier than the hours indicate. We were hanging out talking and realized they were closing about 9:00 versus 11:00 on the site and Google.

It’s a safe choice for North Carolina, I would give the pizza a 7 out of 10 for here, in NY it would be more like a 3 or 4 out of 10, where there’s way better and cheaper options. Also, I was excited to see a black and white cookie on the menu and was instantly disappointed when I received a prepackaged one, like come on lol. Given the food options it’s descent, nothing that’s going to make me drool over, but I’ll give a pasta dish a try in the future to see.

Was able to order from here during the tropical storm of Ian. Our power went out. We greatly appreciate they were able to take our order and have it delivered! First time trying the NY pizza. Very good and generous toppings on the pizza. I know it probably wasn’t their fault due to the storm but it did take awhile and the pizza was cold. That didn’t really bother us considering the circumstances. Just hate we couldn’t heat it in the oven!! Garlic knots and side salad were also great. Will definitely order again considering it’s just a couple minutes away from my house!

Got chicken Parm and baked ziti with chicken takeout. Generous portions for the dinner size with garlic knots and a side salad. Really enjoyed both and looking forward to trying other meals

I co worker raved about the meatballs from here. So we have ordered take out several times since because they are incredible!!!! The pasta is delicious. I can’t wait to actually dine in for the full experience but their food is beyond good!

Literally the best Italian takeout in Raleigh. I haven’t had Italian food that I didn’t make myself since relocating from NY. NY is home to so many authentic Italian restaurants and growing up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood with Italian friends, I can say my standards are pretty high.

Mostly good italian food but frustrated by the little things. First few times getting take-out here were good but the last few were sub-par. Quality of ingredients are pretty good but seems to be rushed and feel like tgey compromise the end product for volume. This order, we had a simple large pie with half sausage and mushroom. They went real light on sausage and mushroom and the cheese was already twisted at pick up. When i showed him the pie he offered to throw more on, but then he would need to cook it again. Wasnt real impressed with my issue. No time for that. Last time i had an issue with the garlic knots. Could be a great place so its annoying they miss on the little things.

When I walked into Assaggio’s I was greeted very fast from a employee. I also enjoyed the atmosphere and the design of the restaurant. Our waitress was very polite and helpful. I decided on a pizza, the pizza had a very interesting taste and definitely for a acquired taste, after a slice. I decided it wasn’t for me. Overall a good experience.
