We visited Aspens for Valentine’s Day as we had our first date there 6 months ago we thought it would be amazing to go back. As expected they were extremely busy , the staff was great even with the rush but the food was no where compared to our first visit. My steak was extremely rare not medium rare and my mashed potatoes that were so good last time were bland and seemed like instant potatoes. The cheesecake that the bartender comped for us was amazing but I feel like just because the restaurant was overwhelmed doesn’t mean the food should have been less than. Very expensive dinner for such poor effort put in.

Everything was a mess. Sat for 1.5 hours for our food and wasn’t offered bread. Our waiter was scarce. When we asked they said they were out of bread. Mind you, .this was at 6:00 pm on a Saturday. When we finally got our food, we had to find our own salt and pepper. The food was just okay and absolutely not worth the money. Go to Cooks or Pine Lodge for a good steak. Dont even waste your money.

Me and my husband went out for dinner and it was amazing. I ordered the steak and it was the best steak I have ever had, my husband had the lobster tail and it was perfect! We called the chef out to compliment her on the food! We would recommend this to anyone!!

There reviews here are outdated. They have a new chef. The entire staff (Melissa and Sean) & bartender Robert are wonderful & courteous. The new Chef, Chef Florence is phenomenal. I’ve been here 3 years and this is the best cuisine they have ever served. I don’t how he prepares the chicken so moist with the perfectly seasoned crispy skin. Do whatever you have to do to keep Chef Florence here!

Called to make reservations and was told they weren’t taking reservations. Showed up and was basically told to bad. Asked to talk with the manager explained what took place and again was told basically too bad. We were only two and could have been sat literally anywhere. More disappointing that the manager didn’t care.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere especially for a small town like Elko. Make sure to bring a bar of gold to pay for items which are $MP lol. We had the Caesar Salad, Shrimp Cocktail which came with 4 Jumbo shrimp (not Colossal) 20 oz Lobster tail and the Tomahawk. They had 2 rolls and the bread spread was delicious 🙂 7-20-24 SECOND TIME there then the tomahawk was saltier than the red sea…. downgrading stars

Was very excited to try the short ribs and ordered them. For $72 I had high expectations. The salad was horrible. The tomatoes looked like they had been frozen and were a brownish/green. I had asked for extra ranch and was assured that I did get extra ranch but it had to have been less than a once. The soup was a butternut squash with an extremely small amount of lump crab meat on top. The soup was ok. The short ribs finally came out after well over an hour. I have had much better roast beef dinners at Denny’s. The gravy they barely drizzled over the meat and extremely small portion of mashed potatoes was straight out of a jar. It’s crazy this place is still open. Never again for me!!

This place is way overpriced. An 8oz steak for $65 with less than half a scoop of mashed potatoes. That’s what it looked like anyways. The salad was only about 3 bites. I had the meatball appetizer $18 for a “3oz meatball” The food is good but not worth the price tag. They may think that their food is worth it but it is not. You could get a better steak at The Star for half the price.
