As soon as we walked in, we could tell the service was slow and not very welcoming. It was our first time there, and we were expecting better service, especially for a place that presents itself as a “nice restaurant” with those prices.

The food was actually delicious, and the cocktails were pretty strong (which would’ve been nice to have a heads up about). But the staff felt rushed the whole time, they were quick to take our plates away and bring the check, which made us feel like we were being hurried out.

Also, for the price point, the plate presentation was pretty underwhelming. Good food overall, but the service and presentation definitely didn’t match the vibe or the prices.

Bitter sweet – wish I can say we’d continue our traditions here but we probably won’t…

We’ve been loyal & frequent customers for over three years since moving into the area. A source of pride actually – we’d brag to friends – “wow – a really nice steak house without having to fight traffic and leaving our area!” The food continues to be on point but I am certain something has changed with restaurant management. At nearly $400, our service overall was a huge disappointment which clouded our overall experience. We were celebrating a birthday AND 19 year wedding anniversary. Not only did we have to remind our server multiple times for drinks we ordered or drinks that needed refilling, we never received a verbal well wishes greeting nor did we get the complimentary small treat (that we’ve come to look forward to at every social occasion).

To top it off, the person I suspected as the restaurant manager walked past at the end of our meal, I raised my hand to get his attention, he made eye contact with me and WALKED AWAY. We paid and before leaving / never returning, I felt compelled to inquire with hostess about the restaurant manager… in hopes that feedback would lead to improvement. When she approached the same gentleman that walked away from me, we decided to leave.

Upon exiting, the restaurant manager came out… thinking he was going to catch us, we paused. No – he was saying goodbye to another table of customers who had a birthday celebration and had their cute little restaurant dessert.

I guess we don’t fit the “profile.” Sadly, we won’t be back and now on the hunt for a nearby nice steak restaurant 🙁

My wife and I recently dined here expecting a nice evening, but unfortunately the experience fell far below expectations.

We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation and were told the wait would be approximately 20 minutes. Instead, we waited over an hour and a half. During that time, we observed several parties who arrived after us being seated first. I also heard the host apologize to other guests for their wait, yet no one acknowledged us, provided updates, or offered any apology.

After finally being seated, it took another 20 minutes before anyone greeted us or took our order, while nearby tables appeared to receive attentive service from the SAME server. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us to ensure everything was satisfactory.

The food was equally disappointing. My steak was burnt and lacked flavor, and my wife ordered her steak well done but it arrived medium, making it inedible for her. I reached out privately to share this feedback and give the restaurant an opportunity to address the situation, but I never received a response.

Honestly, we would have received better basic customer service at McDonald’s. For the price point, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the level of quality or service that should be expected.

I’m not sure why we haven’t came to dine here before and we’ve lived in East Cobb for over a decade but we made it to Aspens last night. I love the cabin vibe they have and how the waitstaff is dressed according to theme too! The waitress was so nice and helpful with our questions and requests. We tried the meatloaf, Cesar salad and Halibut. All the food was great and we really enjoyed it. I loved the halibut and had asked for it to be blackened and they obliged with no hesitation. The portions are generous so we ended up taking most of our dinners home. We look forward to bringing our whole family back.

One of our local favorites! Delicious food, amazing ambience, friendly staff and an excellent wine selection. My steak has always been cooked perfectly here, just delicious. The sides are a generous shareable size. The sautéed Brussel sprouts are one of my favorites! I would definitely recommend, start with the wedge salad it’s one of my go to’s at Aspen’s.

My best friend and I were regulars. The last time we went, it was only for drinks at the bar…$29 per old fashioned x3. $90 for three drinks is ridiculous. Plus, my friend had to reach over the bar to pour her own smoked drink because the bartender disappeared and forgot about us (and a $6 smoking charge for a smoked old fashioned out of a mason jar? Be for real.). They’ve already priced themselves out of the area for steaks. The turnover rate for bartenders is ridiculous. I’m sad to say that although Aspens has been a staple in my life for as long as I remember – from my own high school graduation many, MANY years ago and numerous family birthday gatherings to casual nights at the bar with friends – it’s just no longer worth ever returning. Drive ten minutes further to Little Alley for great food and service for the same price. P.S. We’ll miss Pete and Mary!

My husband and I have been here twice now and we LOVE it here! Staff are friendly and the ambience is cabin cozy. They have a nice wine list, the cocktails are yummy and the food has been excellent so far. Everything from the bread and butter service to the steaks and side, it was all great! The one thing you HAVE TO GET is the shrimp and grits, they are phenomenal!! Seriously the best we’ve ever had.

Aspen has quickly become our new favorite steak house!

The before dinner martinis were amazing. We both had the beef medallions and they were perfectly cooked. The sides were delicious and well seasoned. The pumpkin cheesecake was fabulous. Brandon, our waiter, took excellent care of us. What a delicious meal and a wonderful evening in a beautiful, restful atmosphere!

Came here on a Saturday night on a whim, no reservation, not knowing what to expect. I was so nervous coming in without a reservation but they seated us right away, being just two people— and it was a full house. Immediately going in, the place is very high class with its decor. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, with an actual fireplace. It’s as though the place is an upscale oversized cabin. But besides the looks, the hospitality of the staff is unlike no other. Our kind server, Logan, was incredibly knowledgeable on the menu. Not only did he know what was best on the menu, but he helped us get exactly what we thought we’d like best. We put our faith completely in the hands of our server and we were utterly impressed. Even the staff that took our plates away at the end were kind to us and chatted as though we were old friends. On our way out, every single staff member that walked past us wished us a safe drive home. I almost didn’t want to leave— I already can’t wait to come back and I’ve been dreaming of the creme brûlée ever since. Seriously, it’s GOOD. It’s an excellent experience for any newcomer coming in on an occasion or date night. I’ve been raving about this place to just about everyone I know because this place truly holds a special place in my heart now.

This was my birthday celebration. It couldn’t have been better! This is wonderful food, excellent bar, waiter and manager outstanding!! Terry our waiter was attentive, knew our names, and was totally dedicated to giving us a perfect birthday celebration. Joey the manager checked with us several times to make sure we were enjoying our evening out. I can’t think of a better place to have a special meal. They made us feel at home. We will continue to come to this very special restaurant right here in our neighborhood.
