I was pleasantly surprised that the food was very good. I had the filet, and it was cooked perfectly. The filet was juicy, tender, and delicious. I also enjoyed the vegetables that came with it, including the fingerling potatoes. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food, including the steak bites, steak salad, and the walleye. It did take quite a long time to get our food, but luckily, it was worth the wait. The dining room was a bit chilly, but was clean and comfortable. The server did a good job.

The food seems to trend on the too-hot spicy side no matter what you order. I had the walleye dinner, which was very good, but very spicy. It was also either buttery or greasy, which seemed very unhealthy. Tonight, I had the filet mignon, but it came very flat, which leads me to believe it was either a cheaper cut or pressed to allow for even cooking. Either way, it wasn’t the “filet” experience I was looking for. I like the variation in doneness when you order a filet, which did not happen tonight. Anyway, this was also a heart attack waiting to happen, with the greasy or buttery after taste.
