Decent eats for this neighborhood.
Spacious dining room. Reasonable wait after ordering. Reasonably clean. Food looks appealing and tasted good, although the teriyaki sauce was a bit too sweet for me. (I still don’t understand why people will make their entree taste like desert. 😉 ). I would prefer to catch a smile from the owner’s face though.

Excellent food and extremely friendly service. Only ever had an issue once. Today. I ordered extra veggies (2$ x2 dishes) in my beef bulgogi and didn’t get them. I didn’t adjust my review because I have been here many times and know if I mentioned it they would make it good. Frankly they are so friendly and the food is always so good i just don’t mind.
I would add one thing more… their almond chicken gravy is not the rich savory brown gravy you would expect in the northwest but instead a kind of plain tasting sweet white sauce. It compliments the chicken and almonds very nicely. But not my style. Otherwise all the dishes I have had have been exactly perfect for me.

The food was ok but my beef short ribs were a little burnt and the rice was overcooked. Otherwise I enjoyed my meal. I would probably return but it would not be my first choice.

First time I ordered the lunch ramen, being a huge ramen hound myself. Don’t make that mistake; it was not good. If that was all I was writing the review on, it would be 1 star (and I would not consider this a positive review, given their current average is 4.5). Needless to say, skip the ramen option. You’ll get the same quality from Top Ramen for $0.10 a pack.
The second time I got the teriyaki chicken lunch special; their staple. Good, and for $7-8 it was a decent lunch, but I had been spoiled the day before by getting the same meal (albeit a non-lunch special, so $4-5 more) at Yummy Pho & Teriyaki and getting three times as much chicken (and half the rice) — all else being equal.
Went a third time and ordered two dinner entrees, one was a chicken and pork combo. Adding spicy to an entree is $1 more, but I added it to that combo — they tacked on $2, one for the chicken, one for the pork. Seemed like a nickel-and-dime move. I won’t argue over a dollar, but I will make a mental note of the service.
If I didn’t live two blocks away, I’d to to Yummy or Viet Dong instead of here. The food’s decent, the prices are average, the service just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Best spot for food!!! Everything is good. It’s always hard to choose!!! They are always so friendly to me and know me by name!!! A great family spot and have been going there for sometime.. I DON’T go anywhere else!!! We call this momma’s cause how caring the owner is. Very sweet lady. If your looking for a spot you have to give them a try!!!!

I actually love this place I live literally 2 blocks from it and I am very glad I do!! Not only are the staff warm, inviting, and genuinely nice but the cooks are extremely Consistent as well. You will learn to know that you can expect the same great dish everytime, the prices are great and you get excellent portion sizes. If you choose to dine-in the environment is very laid back and relaxing and they have TV screens that play local sports!!

Probably the best Asian food on the south side of Tacoma. There’s a good amount of seating space if you like to dine in, and there’s usually something interesting playing on their T.V. too. Food is actually cooked really fast, I usually only have to wait for 5 minutes, maybe 10 max.The owner is really nice and always hooks it up with lots of food on my plate, sometimes will throw in an extra salad. Definitely worth every penny spent.

This place has been owned by same couple for a long time. I was in there with my sister the other day for lunch and I could not believe they were not busy. The menu is extensive and the food is great. Little neighborhood restaurant!

The owners are the nicest people. Their spicy chicken uses more than just spicy teriyaki sauce, it also uses fresh vegetables. A lot of places don’t offer that. They show you your food before you take it to insure its what you ordered
