Stopped in to order to take home. Dining area was clean, service was quick and friendly. General Tso and also got an egg roll. All very good.

I really wanted to like this place. I’m sick and I picked up some soup and appetizers. The soup was a thick gelatinous consistency and little flavor. The teriyaki chicken was flavorless and dry. The crab rangoon and the fried dumplings were not great and the spring rolls were mushy inside. I was extremely disappointed considering all I wanted was some soup while I was sick.

This used to be our go to place but something is different I always get the boneless spare ribs with vegetable lo mein this is the 3rd time the spare ribs are so hard and dry I only get to eat the lo mein noodles for dinner. And tonight it was like the sauce for the noodles was so watery and just tasted like only soy sauce on them. My husband’s orange chicken and fried rice he said was OK. Not any orange flavor to it

So I was driving through Huber Heights and was hungry for Chinese. I asked Google to see Chinese restaurants in the area and this one was closest. I decided to give it a try seeing as it has good reviews. I ordered four things. House special lo mein, shrimp with snow peas, beef with snow peas and an order of steamed dumplings. First I’d like to preface this by saying nothing g I got was bad. The lo mein noodles were the best of everything. That said, the shrimp, & beef w/shrimp lacked flavor. I was expecting it to be slightly sweeter than it was. Both just seemed to lack any flavor leaving me somewhat disappointed. However, the shrimp was plentiful and plump. The steamed dumplings were fantastic. Price is standard for any other walk in Chinese carryout. Overall not too bad.

Asian Star is the best chinese food around. I have tried all of them in the local area and after three visits here, I can say there’s no topping it. I have had stellar food every time I have been here. My wife and I shared a general tso’s dinner with crab rangoon and egg rolls. Nothing comes close to their chicken. It has the perfect crunch despite being doused in sauce, perfect texture and juicy chicken. Best of all is how quickly they get the food to you. It is faster than most fast food these days. We had everything at the table in less than five minutes of ordering. If you want chinese food that is filling and satisfying, this is the place to go!
