Service was extremely slow. It took a while for the server came over, a while before we got water. The it appeared that he forgot we were there. Then he came over, and took our order. It took forever to get our meals. The atmosphere is dated, and not inviting. I had the seafood on crispy noodles. The squid was bland and rubbery. There was no real flavor over all. My wife had the chicken sesame, which was good, not great. My grandson had a boil of tripe, and a boil of chicken feet, two items he really enjoys. In this case he said they were OK, but nothing special. We all agreed that we wouldn’t return.

The restaurant title at the front was Asian Sauce Box, but we had googled Dim Sum King and it led us here, so we were a but confused at first. However, they advertised the dim sum menu at front door and it looked good. Plus all the reviews were good. We got there at 11am on a Saturday and were the first customers. We were skeptical already, but the place was clean and we got seated right away. We get dim sum everywhere we travel to, if possible and we were not disappointed. The food took a bit longer to come out, but it is because everything was prepared fresh. The pork and shrimp siu mai were delicious. We also got dim sum dishes that we normally cannot find at other places such as preserved egg congested. We liked it so much that we ordered extra to take home to include the steamed cha siu bau, turnip cake, and seasame balls! Service was excellent and they even put more preserved egg into my congee as requested. The only reason we gave them a 4 star is because of the tea. Tea bags for tea and not tea leaves steeped in hot water is a big no no for us. We would definitely revisit, but bring our own tea.

Having tried a few dim sum restaurants in Orlando, we were excited to try somewhere that involved a bit of an easier drive for us to get to. This restaurant is in a shopping area with ample parking very close to I95. We went early, and there was only one other party dining when we arrived. I hope lots more people give this place a try, because I loved it SO much and want them to do really well! We were seated at a comfortable booth and enjoyed the cozy ambiance and modern decor.

The menu had everything we wanted, which was exciting. Each dish we ordered came out pretty quickly, and everything was piping hot and exceptionally high quality. The roast pork buns and the steamed egg yolk buns were some of the best we’ve had. The soup dumplings were perfect temperature and weren’t ripped or broken, which can be rare at other places. The shrimp siu mai had whole chunks of tender shrimp. The portions were perfect, and we ended up with several leftovers to take home that heated up well later. I can’t wait to go back again & again! Overall, this was such a good experience that we’ll pick it over some of the popular Orlando places any time.

Typical Asian restaurant in decor. Service was slow and food was slow to come out. Ordered Pork Soup Dumplings. Was just a pork dumpling, not soup. Taste fine. Husband had General Cho’s chicken. Brown sauce had no heat. He stated that chicken was overcooked. Also had Kung Poa chicken which was marked on menu as spicy which it was not. Mostly bell peppers, peanuts and onions. Very disappointing

So this place USED to be mine and my family’s favorite place to go to on a Friday night or even on the weekend. But after this experience we had yesterday, I will NEVER get food from here again!!! We decided to do take out and when our daughter went to eat her food there was a cockroach in her food that was definitely cooked in with her chicken and broccoli she was so disgusted as were me and my husband. My husband called the restaurant and was then transferred to the owner were assuming and upon explaining how there was a roach in our daughter’s food and how we live 40 mins away from the restaurant, he then asked my husband if we wanted him to remake the food! Absolutely NOT! We then bagged all the food back up and took the drive back to get a refund, absolutely unbelievable! Why would we even trust a place that has roaches in its kitchen?! That in itself says that it is not a clean place if there are roaches in food and I wanted to just let everyone know to BE CAREFUL and look at your food very well if you do decide to eat at this establishment. And sadly all the people we recommended this place to has now been informed and also shown these pictures we took and they all said they would never even think of stepping foot in this place and will also pass this information on as well to others. Hopefully no one else has a experience like this one.

The soup dumplings were filled with meat and so savory. The pan fried dumplings were also packed and full of flavor.

I cannot say enough positive things this place is adorable, the food phenomenal and authentic and the family that owns it gives excellent service. It was well worth the 2 hour drive from Jacksonville. I was so excited to have so many of my dim sum favorites but the XO pan fried radish cake was the favorite We also enjoy delicious HK style roast duck and boiled chicken with scallions and ginger IYKYK it was so good to have that dish again. It brought back so many memories of my time living China. Give this place a try you will not be dissappear. We will definitely be back.

An Orlando-quality dim sum experience in Port Orange! I ordered the black & gold quicksand buns, the black pepper short rib, the rice pasta rolls with shrimp, and the soup dumplings and everything was fantastic, especially the quicksand buns, which are one of my new favorite things! Pillowy-soft bun loaded with a sweet/salty/creamy/buttery egg yolk filling, like nothing I have ever had before! If you’re looking for dim sum in PO, this is the spot.
