Hidden gem alert — some of the best Thai food I’ve had anywhere!

I was in Bowling Green on business and was honestly surprised by how many different ethnic restaurants there are here — Asian, Hispanic, African — such a fun mix for a smaller city. I ended up at Asian Kitchen Thai & Lao Food, and wow… what a find. I wish I lived closer because I’d be here almost every day.

The Vibe:
Asian Kitchen sits in a small strip center and only has a couple of tables inside, which tells me most of their business is takeout — probably 99%. It’s simple and unpretentious, but very clean and well-kept.

Service:
This is where the place really shines. The owner greeted me as soon as I walked in and couldn’t have been more welcoming. We chatted a bit, and he shared that his father started the restaurant and he’s now carrying it on. You can feel the pride and care in what they do — it’s clearly a family-run business built on authentic recipes and genuine hospitality. Service was quick, warm, and full of that kind of local charm that makes you want to come back.

Food & Drinks:
I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with tofu (stir-fried jasmine rice with egg, carrot, peas, and onions), and it was absolutely divine. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and full of fresh flavor. As I’m writing this review, I’m honestly wishing I had some of it with me right now.

Overall:
If you’re in the Bowling Green area or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop at Asian Kitchen. It’s a true hidden gem — authentic, family-run, and serving some of the best Thai food I’ve had anywhere in the country.

Hands down the best red curry I’ve tasted in Bowling Green and in the top 5 ever. Medium spice is exactly where it needed to be, and the pineapples added the perfect balance. The restaurant is takeout only and is located in the Asian Market located in the Capital Commons Shopping Center. Owners were very nice and food came out super hot and fresh. Take out only but there are a couple of tall tables. A must try.

I recently visited my favorite Thai restaurant in BG and once again, it did not disappoint! The food is consistently amazing – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Every dish I’ve tried has been outstanding. This is the pad se ew and the red Thai curry. I don’t add any spice to the curry because it already comes with a kick!
The space inside is very small so I wouldn’t rely on eating inside but 10/10 for me!

Tom yum chicken soup was exactly what I needed for comfort while sick. Even more impressive than the food, I accidentally flipped my soup container in the back seat while driving home and it barely spilled. I will definitely be back!

Was in from out of town, and found this spot on a Google search.

I ordered the Pad Phet, and glad I did. I ordered the highest spicy level, and it brought the heat! Very good Thai food, and I’ll certainly be back next time I’m in Bowling Green.

Ordered takeout from here for the first time today and it was really good! I had the Thai Fried Rice with Tofu in medium spice level along with the spring rolls. The food was delicious, large portions and just the right amount of spice. My coworker had the chicken satay and said it was also very good. I will definitely order again.

This is the only place in town where you can get a legitimate Pad Thai. Authentic flavors and well fried — textbook example of how to fry noodles: hot wok to preserve the texture and get a little char. I’ve been here a few times and they are consistent.

As others have mentioned, be prepared that this is pretty much just a takeout restaurant.
