During the Veterans Day holiday, I made a foodie stop in Rochester NY and stumbled upon a true hidden gem — Crepes n Go – Asian Kitchen. This family-owned spot brings together the warm comfort of home cooking with the diverse flavors of Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese cuisine, all under one cozy roof.
The moment we sat down, we were welcomed not only with friendly service but also with a surprise treat — a spicy shredded potato snack that was so addictive, I could’ve finished a whole bowl. And at the end? A dessert treat that wrapped up the meal beautifully. Love when a restaurant adds that personal touch!
Here’s what we ordered — and trust me, everything was a hit:
煎饼果子 (Jiānbǐng)
The star of the evening! This traditional Chinese crepe was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and packed with savory fillings. The black sesame sprinkled on top added aroma and authenticity. Absolutely delicious — one of the best versions I’ve had in the U.S.
BBQ Lamb Skewer
Perfectly seasoned with that classic cumin-forward Xinjiang-style spice blend. Juicy, smoky, and cooked just right. The kind of skewer that disappears in seconds.
Hofan Noodle
Wok-hei heaven! The wide flat noodles were silky and smoky, tossed with shrimp, egg, bean sprouts, onions, and greens. Each bite had that irresistible charred aroma you only get from a real hot wok. Comfort food at its finest.
See the photos — the dishes taste even better than they look!
What really makes Crepes n Go special is the warmth of a family establishment combined with the range of dishes that reflect multiple Asian culinary traditions. Whether you’re craving something Chinese, Vietnamese, or Thai, this place has it all — and they do it well.
If you’re ever in Rochester NY, this is a stop worth making. Delicious food, kind people, and flavors that comfort the soul. Highly recommended!
The flavors are home-style, comforting, and satisfying without being greasy or over-seasoned. It’s rare to find food this affordable, well-prepared, and served with so much heart. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Just came back a second time and can confirm the Lanzhou beef noodle soup is also excellent.
They have a huge menu with lots of dishes both spicy and not. Many crepes are french style while others are more Asian ish.
Noodle that I tried was very good and they give you chili oil so it can be very hot if you wanted.
Lamb kebab is a must as it’s got tons of dry rub seasoning and cumin very flavorful.
Reasonable price and you also get cash discount!
I especially enjoyed the ‘Spicy Potato Salad’ — it’s the one I’d most recommend. Big thanks to our host for the treat!”
The pan-fried dumplings were 10/10. The bottom and edge are crispy. The filling is full of meat. I didn’t see much veggie at all. They were full. You can have them with chilli sauce and soy sauce. People with smaller appetite would be full after finishing the pan-fried dumplings.
I paid $20 for this meal. $7 for 7 dumplings, and $10 for the crepe. Both are cheap for this amount and size. Highly recommend! I wished I can eat more.
NB: there is a 3% charge added for paying with a credit card.
