I’ve been to a couple Thai/Lao spots in Houston but this is my favorite. The restaurant is inside of a grocery store and there is also a bunch of snacks next to the register that you can purchase.

My friend and I started off with the Thai tea and the Asia Sampler. The Asia sampler is fantastic because it’s meant for sharing and I love how you get to try a little bit of everything. I never had cheese rolls before but it was a pleasant surprise! The chicken satay was on the drier side but the dumplings and different sauces that came with were all fantastic. Honestly, for the variety and amount of food you get, the Asia sampler is totally worth it!

For entrees, we both got the Kee Mao Noodles with chicken. I can’t remember if I got the spice level as Medium or Hot but either way, I was dying lol. This is one of those places where they don’t play around with the spices- a true Thai place!
Even though I was fighting for my life after every bite, the noodle dish had great flavor and I couldn’t stop eating it.

For one thai tea, Asia sampler, and 2 noodle dishes, it came out to around $50. Great prices, fast service, and great food- can’t wait to come back!

This is a hole-in-the-wall type of Thai restaurant-grocery store hybrid. I really enjoyed dining here because the food is very straightforward and tastes authentic. I got a classic green curry with chicken — the portions are very big for the price. The curry itself was spicy and creamy but was lacking a strong coconut flavor, which is my usual preference(I’m not sure what type of milk they used). Yet, I’d say this is a great spot for a no-frills authentic Thai meal.

my husband & i visited for the first time on a monday evening, not many people there, so we were able to walk in and place our order immediately. the guy behind the counter was really nice, professional and answered all of our questions about the menu. we had the lemongrass chicken bites, fried chicken dumplings, thai fried jasmine rice w/chicken and the sweet & sour chicken. we also had the green tea & lychee tea, really good! chicken bites were fried a little hard, but still good. everything else was great, we’ll definitely try again

My first time come to this restaurant, my friend was really like this restaurant so she recommended me. I think this place is ok, not really excellent like I expected. Price is high but restaurant is not really fancy or nice decoration. Most of my orders were small just enough for 1 person compared to the price is so high. Taste is ok more sour, spicy and less sweet. Service is ok also

My friend and I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch. Their papaya salad in Laos style was very good. The Tom Kha chicken soup was alright. The server was very nice. It is a small restaurant inside the grocery store.

Wow, five stars all around. Best Thai food in town. We were simply amazed by this place, homely, cozy, home made taste and friendly people. Once you eat here you will become their regular.
We ordered Tom kha soup with tofu, panag curry with veggies, pad kra pau, lab gai, and coconut ice cream. Every dish was phenomenal. They have Volcano level as one of the spice levels. If you dare try it after signing waiver. We opted for Thai hot. There portions are huge and there is also a smash Thai grocery store inside.
This is MUST try

Absolutely amazing experience at Asia Market Lao Thai Food! The food was bursting with authentic flavors, and every dish was perfectly prepared. The customer service was top-notch—warm, friendly, and attentive. They even surprised me with a delicious mango rice pudding for my birthday, which was such a sweet gesture! Highly recommend this gem in Houston for anyone craving incredible Lao and Thai cuisine. 5 stars!

Amazing Lao Cuisine!

I recently visited a Lao restaurant and was blown away by the flavors! The Tiger Cry beef was incredibly tender and packed with rich, spicy flavor—definitely a must-try if you like a little heat. The Pineapple Fried Rice was also fantastic—perfectly balanced with sweet and savory notes, and served in a fresh pineapple shell. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was warm and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended!

I was initially skeptical about this small restaurant located in a grocery store, but I was pleasantly surprised. They offered fresh coconut with tender coconut meat! We ordered red curry, pad thai, and drunken noodles, and all three dishes were excellent. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the dessert—mango sticky rice.

Came to explore Asian groceries around Houstan and we discovered this place. The grocery section is very small and has very limited options in term of groceries. Another part of this place served as a small restaurant that serves, of course, thai food. The food is okay and their service is fine but there’s lot more room for improvement when it comes to the taste. We tried few dishes and one of it was Tom Yam soup, a dish that Thais are most known with. It was just ok. Nevertheless it’s a good experience.
